They are part of the problem and need to be addressed along with other issues.

GOP controlled the House for 22 of the past 30 years.
So they approved and signed off on all those budgets and laws and policies you insinuating are dem only issues.

But I don't think this is a one side issue, blue and red have middle class blood all over their hands.
Does Trump have that blood on his hands? Or is he a fascist for trying to address it?

You’ve named the problem, perhaps inadvertently.

hey jumper, i wasn't trying to pigeon hole the issue it was the specific issue was addressing, my response on posting on this is concerning the EO around illegal immigrants on snap benefits and implying that it is some massive scandal, when there is no evidence to support.
Others continue to try and move goal posts on the discussion i was having.
You believe that EO is all for show?

Wait.. You thought it was dumb for southern states to ship illegals to sanctuary cities? You do know what sanctuary means don't you? LOL. I love how people can claim to be pro puppy and not allow any puppies in their house while yelling at the guy who doesn't want puppies yet gets 100 puppies dropped off at his house daily. It's like you live in a different reality than the rest of us.

And that bill was trash. It allowed 1.4million-ish illegals to cross the border without any attempt to slow them down. Trump didn't get it shut down.... people reading the bill and spreading the details on X, Facebook, podcast and other media reached Trump and then he called for it to be voted down.

You don't give people enough credit for rightfully calling out this crazy shit. Trump doesn't just tell us what to do or think. We aren't democrats.
Mike Johnson got the call from T and flipped on it instantly.
The terms were bipartisian agreed and nothing was hidden, the details got nickpicked post mortem to try and hide the fact T didn't want improvement on the situation.
He wanted to campaign on it still being a mess.

Seriously, can any Lib on here please explain or justify how any of those things benefit the American People?

Any libs have a problem with this or is it just more "mere pocket change" that won't make a dent.

My friend, and fellow STL Cardinal fan @trueblujr2 , waiting for libs for years to ever answer for any of their evil, stupid sh-t:

Art Berman is a (former) petroleum geologist who now provides consulting services to energy companies and other entities. He puts out these blog posts once or twice a week. Often he just dives into the weeds of data regarding oil and gas inventories, effect on prices, etc.; but sometimes he goes on a philosophical rant like he does here.

He's a bit of a contrarian, one who recognizes the need and value of fossil-based energy, but also recognizes the need for better environmental stewardship. He's definitely not a Trump fanboy by any stretch, but he gives Trump a lot of props for his recognition of the importance of oil and gas as a lever of economic and geopolitical power.

Enjoy....

Who gets to determine what is misinformation or disinformation? Not saying there isn't any out there, there always is from both sides of any issue, but who is the arbiter of that truth? then beyond that what is their gain? what are their motivations, politically or economically?

During COVID, i chose to side with those who stood to lose everything they had ever worked for to expose the truth. Not the CDC or Pfizer Reps or Fauci who all stood to gain significant fortunes off of it all. Am I supposed to trust what a media outlet is telling me when every break in their show contains "Brought to you by Pfizer..." or the little Pfizer logo is displayed up in the corner? I chose to trust what certified and well credentialed Doctor's and Epidemiologists who had zero to gain and everything to lose by debunking the Government prescribed narratives.
misinformation is a huge challenge. Some call it the post truth era.

I've certainly caught myself following viewpoints that ended up being wrong, I tend to scroll through the different fact check services as an initial baseline truth check on outrageous issues. A challenge their is fact checkers face an endless onslaught and by the time real research can be done on a topic the outrrage farmers have moved onto the next lies deployed to keep people pissed.

Majority of issues are a gradients of grey and not black and white, where it takes time and effort to understnad the nuance and then its still not a silver bullet choice.

Meanwhile we've all fried our brains attention span, all retreated to the corners of our own echo chambers for news sources, seen a huge uptick in in foreign influence in cultural wars online.

Agree we need to counter pharma and other big money influence. I think we are one of 2 countries in the world that allow pharmaceutical advertisements over the airwaves.

Wrong. Again, for whatever reason the left thinks you just turn a switch and things change instaneously.

There's always a transition period when you make changes. Doge will cause temporary disruption then lift the economy.

the biggest risk is that govt employees have zero skill so unemployment could grow bc they are unemployable
Yeah those laid off nuclear scientists, healthcare workers, lawyers and FBI agents are completely without any skill.
Kinda like all the stupid teachers with master's degree.
Social media has allowed all of the least intelligent, least educated and most ignorant in our society to connect and create a hive mentality resulting in Donald Trump as President.
History will not be kind to the era of measles, Russian love, DOGE, fired nuclear inspectors, pardoned J6ers, and a felon as President.
It would be entertaining and make a great dystopian novel were it not for the gawd awful reality of it.
Too dumb to know how dumb it is.

He's actively stated measles vac's were needed. Try again. And to blame anyone in office for a couple of weeks is typical liberal ignorance.......but expected.
In 2019, he flew to Samoa to discourage people from taking the measles vaccine. And the reason was that he wanted to run a ", natural experiment to see how people would fare against the disease without protections."
He fanned the flames and continued to do so even after he saw the results of the "expirement."
6000 people got the measles. 83 people died. 79 of them were kids.

RFKs kids are vaxxed but he's gone on countless podcasts spouting BS against it.
These effers when they get pulled in front of congress for their nominations they suddenly forget all these things they were just promoting the week before.

He needs to call a press conference and promote the measles vaccine.

This is exactly the stuff I want to see. Before Trump, we just gave Urkraine money. For free. Who knows if it even all went to Ukraine. But basically, it was the US just handing out freebies.

Now, it seems were on the verge of signing a deal that will see the US get back some very key minerals like Cobalt and Lithium. Now, is that enough? Do I know it's going to get used properly? I'm not sure, can't say. But we're at least stopping the "free lunches" the US was handing out, and that's exactly what I voted for.

And the mineral rights deal with Ukraine, well let's just consider it recompense, not to mention that it's going to provide even MORE US dollars to their economy. But at least we'll get some ROI on it this time.

The left is always wringing their useless hands about much needed economic globalization, but then hate it if it turns out to be beneficial for, you know, US....

When I was a kid I got around 7 shots to go to school. Now kids take somewhere around 30 to 50 shots to go to school. Autism up, mental illness through the roof, obesity skyrocketing, diabetes up, life expectancy decreasing.... You really need to think and not just be outraged because dems told you to be outraged.
Man who knew vaccines were causing mental illness, obesity, diabetes and life expectancy issues??? Nevermind phones/social media, cost of health care, processed/sugary foods, lack of exercise, Covid outbreak and other ills of society

30 to 50 shots? That can't be correct, can it?
I was curious also because that seemed high. From what I can tell it seems many get vaccinations targeting 15 different things ranging from hepatitis to measles to HPV. However, some of those shots require more than one dose at different ages, so if you add them up it is close to 30 different shots. I guess it depends on how you look at it?

Measles didn’t start under the Trump Administration.

<------- STL Cardinal fan
Still nominally a Cardinal fan, but I pretty much quit baseball (at least MLB) altogether after Rob Manfred yanked the All-Star Game away from Atlanta and moved it Denver after Georgia signed election integrity measures into law. For what it's worth, I find that I really haven't missed MLB all that much.

Measles didn’t start under the Trump Administration.
The measles vaccine was first introduced in 1963. In 1978, the United States recommended that all children receive two doses of the vaccine. In 1989, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommended that all states require measles vaccination for school entry. By 1998, all 50 states had implemented this requirement.

Now look at the number of measles cases in the US pre 1998 and post 1998 once the measles vaccine was required by schools..... Then tell me vaccines don't work.
Trump didn't cause the measles outbreak but his dumbazz RFK is part of the wave of vax deniers that will lead to more cases and deaths like we are seeing now.
