You are not wrong, but it’s important for a number of reasons.
Youngkin represents the first strong GOP leader in the state in over a decade. There are plenty of R voters in VA, but it’s a bunch of disparate parts. He ran his own campaign, with the help of the RNC, and turned out a lot of disaffected R voters who frequently sit out the off year elections.
Because the entire government swept in, he can not only lower taxes, etc, he can also take what should be some permanent steps to address the issues in schools, that won’t be overturned with simply a Dem governor.
By strengthening the party throughout the state, Virginia May position itself for control of the state house at least through the ‘27 elections, even if a Dem wins the governor’s race in ‘25.
Also, Youngkin may be strong enough to to win a Senate race in ‘26, if he isn’t Vice President by then.
People for the most part don't like higher taxes, inflation, and being called racists. Dems gonna take a bigger bath in the mid terms.

No, I'm a Abe Lincoln unionist. Our country was founded incorrectly in part, due to preserving slavery. We fought a war over it, and have passed laws to correct it. It was our sin.
We're a long way from that now, don't throw the baby out with the bath water, like the Dems want to do. Our country's basic founding is a good one, except for slavery. Dems still want leverage our past to influence our future, and the type of government they want.
Democrats have no self awareness because they are in a giant echo chamber at all times in their career and their lives. They face no accountability from media. They only operate within their group as anyone else is a "Nazi" and needs to be silenced. They suffer from the same issue that celebs do- truly believe you're perfect and amazing and be sheltered from any criticism whatsoever which makes you live in a world of delusion.
So this presents a challenge when they venture outside of their group to pander for votes. "Hey black people, you like hot sauce, weed, malt liquor and Beyonce, right?" "Hey country bumpkins, this is my southern drawl. My daddy drove a truck once and we used to go to the fields and pick hot dogs from the trees." "Millennials like dancing and TikTok and shows I'm relatable..." *dances awkwardly and uses slang they just learned 5 minutes ago by a campaign intern*
These people don't work normal jobs. They don't drive themselves. They live in a bubble and know nothing else.
It is all they think about. It's the most racist political party to ever exist in America imo. They base everything they do and try to do on race lieterally. Just disgusting people.
People will definitely accept/overlook being called racist. That was proven last election. Apparently they won't handle their kids being called racist. Or it could be the soaring prices or masks. Hard to say without more detailed data on the issues that swung that suburban group.
Also I agree with @vhcat70 that this is likely not a trend in VA for the same reasons he said. However it is a bellwether of sorts in that even they went red.
Also I think it's a major red flag for the gop because we know Trump doesn't poll well with the same suburban moms. It's unfair, an intentionally skewed perception; but it is what it is. The gops best bet is desantis
