My 94 year old mother has the covid antibodies, has not taken the jab and never knew she was sick.
Have watched almost every USWNT game for the last 25 years or so. I have never seen one of those teams perform as consistently bad on a huge stage as this one did. Shut out in 3 or their 5 games. Just did not look like the typical USWNT. Naeher actually saved them late in the last game or they would have been eliminated then.
Have to think wokeness had something to do with it. If the first game picture is not fake news, you had 3 players standing during the anthem, and the rest kneeling. Whether you agree or disagree with the protest, that is not a team that is together.
I believe every AMERICAN has a right to protest whatever you want, but for the love of GOD, keep it off the field and away from the anthem. You are not going to accomplish what you are trying to accomplish, and the firestorm that will come after kneeling is not going to bring your team together, or win you fans.
Could not have been a worse result for the USWNT. Men have beaten Mexico two times in a row to win tournaments, and the women are eliminated before the goal medal game with kneeling causing controversy. Not a good idea to want equal pay when you are pissing off millions of fans, and not winning games you should.
