The media is controlled by a handful of massive corporations, for example Jeff Bezos (WaPo), who routinely purge any dissenting voices (Bonus points if you can name the network Tucker Carlson originally worked for without googling it). The mainstream media is an ideological monolith which preys on the weak minded and the uninformed. They count on groupthink and in fact they punish dissent themselves (see CNN doxxing Trump supporters).Media is a reflection of it's viewers far more than it is an influencer of it's viewers.

You claim the media doesn't brainwash, but you fail to note that news stories about Trump were 93% negative for five years and that over 90% of the media identifies as Democrat. Furthermore, Fox News is NOT a conservative network. It is probably 60-40 conservative to leftist when it comes to guests. OANN would be considered a conservative network along with RSBN but they are tiny compared with the big boys who run the whole show. For you to pretend there's some sort of equanimity is dishonesty in the extreme.

Why do you believe this? Who exposed you to this idea? Who told you that all these people are wrong and are brainwashing people? If the answer to that is your media source or someone who has a financial interest in you believing this than I would question that belief. Is it true or do the people telling me it is true need me to believe it for their own gain.
You reveal your brainwashing in every post. Rationalizing that others must be likewise brainwashed to think differently is a reflection of that reality.

People were not negative on Trump because the media was negative on Trump. The media was negative on Trump because most people are negative on Trump. That's what you don't understand.
Some conservatives look at his record and say look what he did, why does it matter how he behaves? The problem with this line of thinking is that any Republican that won a Presidential election and had the same majority in the House and Senate like he did would have done almost all of the same things. His policies therefore don't really matter because they are mostly generic conservative policies. Once you understand that his character comes into play. When the vast majority of people look at his character there just isn't much to like. The fact that most of his supporters even have to say look at his policies not his personality is an acknowledgement that they don't even like his character.
Also the thought that everyone else would think just like you if they weren't brainwashed is arrogance to the extreme. It is also extremely lazy and shows an unwillingness to critically examine your own thoughts.
Have you ever truly set and thought about why you believe everyone is brainwashed? If the only thing you can come up with is they don't agree with me and I am right then you need to think a little harder.
I don't think anyone is brainwashed. I know that people that watch Tucker Carlson think like he does. I also know that people that watch Rachel Maddow think like she does. None of these people are brainwashing anyone, they are just putting words to their viewers thoughts.

This is an important fact because conservatives and liberals alike think the other side is being brainwashed by their vile media. That's not what is happening. Conservatives are not being brainwashed by Fox News. They like Fox News because it expresses their viewpoint. Likewise liberals are not being brainwashed by CNN. They like CNN because it expresses their views.
The only reason liberal viewpoints have a slight edge in overall news content is that more Americans are somewhat progressive and liberal than they are conservative. As of June 2020 per the Gallop website linked below only 25% of Americans identified as Republicans and 30% identified as Democrat while 40% identified as Independent.
This isn't brainwashing. If you really believe people are being brainwashed by the media than you also need to understand whatever brainwashing tactics you think are being used on the other side are also being used on you and you need to do a thorough review of what you are consuming as well. Conservatives and liberal newscasters all went to the same journalism colleges and universities and were taught the exact same style of reporting and communicating so your side knows how to brainwash too if you think that is what is going on.
