In my younger days in Atlanta I knew a number of medical sales reps who sold to doctors, clinics, hospitals, etc. A slimy business with a lot of underhanded stuff.

I'm pretty sure we weren't taking an experimental vaccine that was rushed into production to combat something with a 99% survival rate. Everything I was given came out decades before. That doesn't mean the government hasn't used the military as guinea pigs to test things on them in the past. That usually resulted in permanent problems for those involved.

From just after World War I into the 1970s, soldiers and sailors were exposed to mustard gas, experimental nerve-agent antidotes and other toxic substances, all without their knowledge. Then they were denied care for what harm those experiments caused to them. I definitely would be pissed if I were in the military now and they forced me to take this vaccine when I was young and healthy and had no reason to need it.

America first, but some folks don't realize the Vietnamese people (French Indochina) had been constantly at war since 1946. Passing through Phu Bai, you'd see a giant Vietnamese graveyard that seemed to run for miles. I spent a little time at DaNang. The bombers would take off and land all night. Because people sign up for the military understanding that they might be sent to combat. They don’t sign up to be guinea pigs for an experimental vaccine from a virus that has little to no threat to people their age and health.
The vaccine is still experimental, if it wasn’t the FDA would remove that classification.
