I am skeptical of the story and the tweet, given the established tactic of giving a story legitimacy by "verifying each other," for lack of a better term.
In this case, the author of the story could have been working with the tweet's author.
Alia Shoaib could have sent the card to Andrew Solender, who originally passed the card to Alia Shoaib at CPAC.
A big ole bunch of circle confirmation <- my term, so it probably does not make sense.
If nothing else, these last few years should make us all even more skeptical of the "sources say" type of stories.
Could things have happened as reported? Sure, but I personally believe there could be a whole lot more to the story.

What does the CDC says? They say 5980 have died after receiving the vaccine. I don't see any link to death from the vaccine outside of the blood clotting from the JNJ vaccine which was 3 people. I also put a link which you did not so you are probably lying.

Was listening to the radio this morning and ABC radio news came at the top of the hour. One of the stories, by a breathless reporter, was talking about all this video that was released yesterday of the police being ruthlessly attacked on Jan 6 in front of the Capitol. Beaten with steel pipes, etc. Anybody seen it? I haven't.

That thread (which is incredible) hit so many grandslam it really should just be mandatory reading. However for me personally I think it left out one thing:
The anger is not because people are sticking up for trump the man. It was because trump was an every man in terms of politics. Our entire system is built on the notion that anyone can win and that everyone matters. Both those lies were undeniably laid bare that election night. We all knew they'd cheat, but noone thought they'd cheat that blatantly.
We're absolutely no longer a democratic republic. We're some form of a representative republic where leaders are selected by elite/powerful people in the shadows.
