Tennessee beat Michigan St and Arkansas beat Purdue. Some pretty nice feathers in those teams cap.

UT was also without Ziegler and Vescovi.

Yes, I think I read that there is a crazy rule that you can't have an exhibition game between two Division 1 Teams unless it is for charity or another specified reason. Bud Walton was completely sold out and it wasn't included in the season ticket package, so all of proceeds went to a great cause.

We did beat Purdue, which really means nothing except for a great practice and learning experience.

We will not win the SEC or make another FF until Cal is gone. Too much parity in college basketball and he can’t coach. His days of out talenting others is over!

Conference title would be nice but honestly the SEC tournament championship is more valuable for post season play(respite what Cal thinks of it) Tournament champs get a one or two line boost in seedings if they have a good regular season record. A team on a roll is better than coming in off a loss(unless you have won like 20 in a row and need a wake up call)

Yeah we all know that isn't true. See 2011. We ran the table including stomping a 1 seed Florida and got a 4 seed.

Fourth is very realistic for Kentucky. The SEC is loaded with good coaching and mature experienced teams. It will be the toughest conference in the country. Cow will lay and egg an not even finish 4th.

Without a center playing its going to be hard to finish better than UT, Arkansas, Texas A@M Alabama. It's going to be a battle for that top 4 seed.

It's a realistic projection considering the returning strength of the other SEC teams and the relative unproven commodity of this year's UK team.

I, for one, like that this team is under the radar for everyone. Expectations are low for everyone except Kentucky fans. But we had better NOT finish fourth in the SEC regular season. Period. I'll be (once again) EXTREMELY unhappy and very disappointed, as well as most any Kentucky basketball fan should be.

If any Kentucky team isn't a perennial regular season champion AND SEC tournament title contender, as well as a perennial contender for a national title, this entire program needs a HUGE kick in the ass and redirection of priorities. And that's what I have been after for more than a few years around here.....

I still expect great things from this particular team. We need our seven footers. No doubt. We need a splash of good luck. We need these young men to grow up fast. Nothing new for a CCC team.

Regardless of the predictions...... We are still KENTUCKY.

Basketball is what we do.

And we do it better than anyone else.

I am NEVER giving an inch on that. Not in this lifetime. You shouldn't either.
