You know what would be a real cherry on top of Cal’s dumpster fire of a situation at the 5 would be Oscar coming back and entering the transfer portal.

Well, this ensures Oscar is headed to the draft.
I don't think O can go to the portal, the deadline passed, but maybe there is still a way he can transfer, I don't know all the in's and out's.

Not taking a whack at Kel'el Ware and guys like that would (in hindsight) be disastrous decisions if Oscar ends up leaving.
dont think that cal puts eggs in one basket. We'd be good with oscar but if not...build a solid team that can ball inside, mid , outside, and for crying out loud everybody on the team should be capable of making 70% or better avg free throw percentage. i can dream, right?
Oscar comes back as the Y for first game this year. JK - Funny how most of us wanted him to move along so the middle would be open, but now without him we could be in trouble. Crazy game.
Simple reason. Cal waited until all the best options were gone and since he runs one style of offense, he requires an aircraft carrier in the middle.
We saw in 15/16 what happens when Cal doesn't have a legit big man.
At this point, it looks like Oscar is the best option, but Cal needs to figure out how to pull him out of the paint so our guards have driving lanes, or use Oscar in a pick-and-roll situation.
If Cal doesn't get Oscar back, guess who's playing the 5.
