The killer will be the lack of muscle and experience. We've seem what that looks like before.
Is Shaedon Sharpe advising him?Livingston not participating.
Why do you think Ugo withdrew from the transfer portal sounds like someone was promised a starting spot at the 5…Well now what do we do at center?
He’ll have all the minutes now and we’ll suffer for it thanks to him not being developedSilly that Onyenso didn’t get more mins last year. His coach is an idiot.
No different than the first time a freshmen scores 10 points in a UK game and shows he can chew gum and stubble at the same time.Guy makes 5 shots in a scrimmage and that's that? LMAO, some of you people.
You know what, oscar wasn't all that great before he came to Kentucky. Who says Cal didn't coach him up? I have not been a fan of Cal last couple years but sometimes you got to give credit to a Hall of Fame coach for some things; you can't just say every one of them were chance. Josh Harrellson turning into a player was something to behold as well. I actually have faith onyenso will be good because Cal has done well with that type of long shot blocking 5 plenty of times. No worries. Cal will bring someone in and coach them up. LOL!
I thought the same thing,, like you may try to model it after them but you’re not very close yet.Good grief...no offense to Chris but who is in his ear telling him Jimmy and Jaylen? WTF?
Oscar is so much more of a plus than his pick and roll defense it’s not even close.Oscar's awful pick and roll defense completely negates his rebounding prowess against good teams. I'm not going to cry myself to sleep if Oscar leaves but on the other hand I think bringing in Johnson for help defense improves our defense immensely when he's playing next to Oscar.
Heck. He's going to help our defense period. I'll be very disappointed if he doesn't pick UK Saturday.
You don't believe that surelyOh lord. The guy who couldn't beat out Ware.
Jaylen Brown wasn't either at 19 years old.I thought the same thing,, like you may try to model it after them but you’re not very close yet.
He’s still doesn’t play like they did very much, Butler played way different than Chris did at every level. He’s closer to Brown but still not that close.Jaylen Brown wasn't either at 19 years old.
Jimmy Was 22 entering the league
He's a lot bigger than both of them. His ball handling has to improve a tonHe’s still doesn’t play like they did very much, Butler played way different than Chris did at every level. He’s closer to Brown but still not that close.
I agree. He's a lot bigger than both of them. His ball handling has to improve a ton
Hint: look at who was on staff with Josh, and who's there now. It's now Cal who developed the big guys lol.You know what, oscar wasn't all that great before he came to Kentucky. Who says Cal didn't coach him up? I have not been a fan of Cal last couple years but sometimes you got to give credit to a Hall of Fame coach for some things; you can't just say every one of them were chance. If he was good enough Cal would have played him, when had he never played talented freshmen the most minutes possible? Only the ones who sat out on purpose basically. Even Askew, Whitney, and Skal got every chance in the world from him.You don't believe that surely
They stated from the beginning he wasn't gonna play last year.
Another good hijacking of a thread to bash Cal. Why don't you just start a sixth "Bash Cal" thread of the day and let everyone else talk about how Oscar did at the combine? And see everybody this is why you sit on your ass and watch numerous good optiosn go in the portal, only go after a guy who was using the Kentucky the whole time, then put everything in Oscar returning when it sounds like he is gone, and know look what is likely to happen, cal will have another glaring hole in the roster, which will give another excuse if Kentucky struggles, it’s the same thing over and over again
If Ony is anything! close to jr nick richards sign me up.. Richards development was one of the biggest surprises under calOnyenso will be good. Not great, but good. Better than Richards his first 2 years, but maybe a notch below Richards JR year.
Which (to me) begs the question..why is that better than returning to school? Livingston could work his way into the 1st round in a couple years. He has to have a second round guarantee. Nothing he’s doing makes sense otherwise.
Yea. You don't think it's possible he threw him in a couple of games early to prevent more shaedon sharpe noise and get him some game experience?Look I'm not saying he's a world beater, but it was obvious the kid had a ton of potential early on. We had oscar this season so why rush him. They said going into the year he wouldn't be playing. It surprised me when he got in a couple of games. If he was good enough Cal would have played him, when had he never played talented freshmen the most minutes possible? Only the ones who sat out on purpose basically. Even Askew, Whitney, and Skal got every chance in the world from him.
You mean like Hopkins, or some thought Collins or Juzang or Matthews. If he was good enough Cal would have played him, when had he never played talented freshmen the most minutes possible? Only the ones who sat out on purpose basically. Even Askew, Whitney, and Skal got every chance in the world from him.
I correctly predicted Richards success. I admit, it took 1 year longer than I thought it would. If Ony is anything! close to jr nick richards sign me up.. Richards development was one of the biggest surprises under cal
His defense looked better yesterday (only 1 game). Was he great defensively? No. But he looked no worse than any other big out there on defense.Oscar is so much more of a plus than his pick and roll defense it’s not even close.
Worry about yourself and I will worry about myself, have a good dayAnother good hijacking of a thread to bash Cal. Why don't you just start a sixth "Bash Cal" thread of the day and let everyone else talk about how Oscar did at the combine?
Yeah well, those people weren't expecting Cal to not even take a swing at anyone in the portal beyond Hunter Dickinson, who he put minimal effort into.Meh, the experts here assured me that we didn’t need him back.
If he doesn’t come back I hope he gets drafted by the Celtics lol
Well some good news, atleast now it’s either stay in the draft or return to kentucky
Yeah well, those people weren't expecting Cal to not even take a swing at anyone in the portal beyond Hunter Dickinson, who he put minimal effort into.
Thunder or heat for me but any team he gets drafted to I will want Oscar to kill itIf he doesn’t come back I hope he gets drafted by the Celtics lol
I’ve been a Celtics fan for many years. I’d love for them to get himThunder or heat for me but any team he gets drafted to I will want Oscar to kill it
Lol how did he put minimal effort into him ? Your posts are comical sometimes . He flew to meet him, had him here on a visit. He just couldn't guarantee him NIL money .Yeah well, those people weren't expecting Cal to not even take a swing at anyone in the portal beyond Hunter Dickinson, who he put minimal effort into.
Where, in my post, did I say anything about me putting my/any trust in Calipari? You know how Cal is and still choose to put your trust in him??? That says more about you than it does him.
He threw his hands up and told Hunter he would have to figure NIL out. Gave him no direction. That’s Cal's own words, not mine.Lol how did he put minimal effort into him ? Your posts are comical sometimes . He flew to meet him, had him here on a visit. He just couldn't guarantee him NIL money .
The NBA is a different league now. Steph Curry changed the NBA, there aren't many 'Chuck Hayse's' left.If Chuck Hayes can play 10 years in the league, how can anyone doubt Oscar.
