Official Game Thread: Kentucky V. Ottawa

our shooters getting setup and squared up for a Three - point shot, its as close to automatic as it can be. And teams are going to have to try to drive them off the three point line, but driving to the rim for the finish looks to be a strength for us as well. Tough decisions all around for the opposition. Naturally, they will hope we're off from the perimeter and pack it, muck it up, get really physical and try to keep it close to win at the end.

We've got the tools to block and alter shots, the press should be better and will make a difference in more than a few games, I would think. Still a long way to go on the defensive end. Not going to be able to switch on everything, so we'll have to gel quickly defensively, communicate well, and be a quick study. I think Coach Cal's teaching (as usual) gets his guys to respond defensively, and I look forward to the defensive growth as we go along as one of the best aspects as the season moves along.

Lots more to say, but it's all good with just a half of the first exhibition game to go on from my perspective.

also, I can see Skal being the #1 NBA draft pick. He's polished offensively, will be interesting to see how he does offensively when guys bump and grind on him. Gonna love to see his development this year as well.

OK, back to the second half.

enjoy, everyone !

My signal just got weak or somethings. Was clear for most part first half. Not so much now

Poythress just needs to get his legs back under him.....he will be fine.

Alex is just going to take time to regain confidence. I think he'll get there, but it may be a couple of months before he does.

Love all the deflections......Poythress playing some defense. We missed that last year....

I like what each player brings to the table. We have a diverse group

Safe to say we won't be seeing this lineup of Briscoe, Matthews, Lee, Willis and Humphries every often. Some of it is just fatigue, but these five have little to no chemistry together.

Alright, I'll say it:

I like seeing Willis play. In his couple of years here I've never posted about his playing time (because it's obvious why he hasn't played), but seeing him out there makes me grin.
