Wagner realistically shouldn’t shoot outside 15feet unless it’s an unrushed set shot. Anything semi contested w a hard close out he should blow by and try tk get to the rim or draw and kick

Cats went up 75-42(down 19-6)since the start of the game. Great turnaround.

None of our bigs are gonna be ready by Tuesday. Accept that. I'm making peace with what is likely going to be a loss.
Let's see how we look against a very good Miami team and we will know what this year has in store.

I could easily see that. Maybe we get their big guys in foul trouble and shoot well to win but it will be tough.
Gotta play smarter than we did tonight. Can't wait a quarter to kick it in gear.
At least we don't have to listen to the sunshine pumpers telling us that this is a team that will make the tournament in March

They got hot early or we coast to a 35 point win with 7 guys. Still won by 20.

Me too, I won’t make any future judgements about this team until Late December/early Janurary at the earliest. We won’t know close to what we have until then.
It is unfortunate that prior to arriving at Kentucky someone didn't take the time to help Wagner develop even an average shot. After watching him play a couple of games, it is obvious that he spent most of his time just driving by opponents for layups with the belief that he would do the same in college. Like so many of our other guards, he will develop into a real guard once he gets to the NBA.

9 turnovers in the first 2 games. If they can continue this against Kansas they will have a shot without the bigs. If our guys end up with 13-14-15 turnovers its going to be ugly. Team rebounding is certainly a big key as well.

Besides them making 4 or 5 contested threes in the 2nd half, I thought we played alright. Low turnovers and defending without fouling again. Those are good signs. They didn't play with as much intensity as they did the first game, but let's save that for Tuesday night. Go Cats!!!!

I think we know what we could have. But man tonight was a step back in some facets.
Particularly scoring. We should have easily covered this game. Bet some people took a bath on that tonight.

The only thing stupid is your belief that Wagner is anything other than what he keeps showing which is a player who will jack up bad shots no matter how many he misses.
Impossible to have maximum intensity for 40 games but they needed more tonight. But I also think Thiero and Reed are catalysts meaning they make the team go.
Simple question: Have the doctors cleared him to play, if they havent all this discussion is moot

Theiro is huge for that. And I agree....I will not say what Cal says (because we're going to hear it enough) but I realize they're human. But their effort should NEVER be greater than ours. And at times tonight it was.
Hope this a little bit of reality for our guys. Think we all drank a bit of Koolaid Monday.

I don't think anyone knows.
But I would think if a player is practicing, especially extra practices at 2am, he'd be cleared by a doctor. I don't know many sports where players go through actual practices if they aren't cleared medically.
