Any one excited about this? Could this be something the NCAA could do for College Basketball?

Very wait and see.

Don't know if I care about all of college basketball. But ESPN used to do the bracket buster games for mid majors. Wouldn't mind seeing that to give teams exposure.

Or one for historical very low seed conferences. They each pick 2 top teams. I would watch a 16 team tournament of MEAC, Ohio valley, Ivy League, etc.. teams play for some Net ratings. And would probably celebrate winning

Some UK notes. Devin Booker has only played in 2 games so far.

Julius Randle has looked way worse than at any point in his career.

Immanuel Quickley has played well for the Knicks but inexplicably they’ve been going with Josh Hart more. Quickley has been flat out better than Hart and it’s not close.

Jamal Murray left last nights game with a hamstring injury.

After a bad 2nd half on opening night Anthony Davis has looked like a top 5 player in the league again.

Jared Vanderbilt still hasn’t made his season debut. Injury. But i don’t think he’s supposed to be out long.

Herro has looked like an All Star. He’s been the best player for the Heat but they’ve struggled.

SGA has missed the last two games with a knee sprain.

Fox has missed the last 2 games for Sacramento

And not just Hart, but DiVincenzo has also been cutting into Quickley’s playing time this season.

Oddly enough, the Knicks have four Villanova guards, all of whom played together in college on the same Villanova team (Brunson, Hart, DiVincenzo and Arcidiacono). What are the odds that?

To add to this . Cason Wallace has looked solid so far this year . He started for Shai against Golden St

To continue, Maxey is poised for an all star season with Harden gone. The analytics say he’s about to explode.

PJ Washington is playing solid minutes as a starter, Nick Richards playing solid minutes as a backup.

Keldon Johnson starting and playing ok.

So far as I know, none of the players have spontaneously changed race.

Just bored and looking at stats.

Anthony Davis is currently 9th in the league in scoring (26.3), 3rd in rebounding (13.0) and first in blocks by a wide margin (3.7, JJJ is 2nd at 2.5).

Oh yeah, he’s also #1 in minutes played per game at 38.8.

The Lakers have had a lot of guys out with injury. I expect Davis minutes to come down some once they get some of those guys back.

Who watches the NBA?? Live in Phoenix and love Booker but don't pay attention to the NBA until playoff time

KAT still adjusting to playing alongside Rudy Gobert in their 'Twin Towers' lineup. Played in only 29 games last year dealing with a calf injury most of the season. Injuries have plagued him, topped 50 games once since '18-19. Averaging 18.6 PPG & 9 RPG. Scored 25 in his last game vs Utah and 21 & 8 in a win over Denver. Numbers dropped slightly since the injuries and Gobert trade when at his peak was averaging 26.5 PPG and anywhere from 10.5-12.4 RPG in his 1st 6 seasons.

Malik Monk averaging 15 PPG & 5 assists per game coming off the bench in Sacramento. Trey Lyles yet to play a game this season.

Chris Livingston has appeared in 1 game so far. 5 points, 1-1 from 3 with 1 assist vs Toronto.

Murray ranks 10th in assists even with Jokic sitting at 8th in the league for the Nuggets.

Adebayo's production is on par for the last couple of seasons. Averaging 21.4 PPG & 7.2 RPG this season. 14.8 & 8.4 for his career.

Nick Richards averaging 6.2 PPG & 5.2 RPG. His last 3 games 12 Pts, 9 Rebs vs Dallas, 10 & 10 vs the Pacers and 10 & 8 vs Houston. Hopefully he is rounding the corner and going to have a career year. 2.2 BPG, 11 blocks in 5 games. 71 throughout all of last season.

Here is the info on it. It does sound like a "dumb gimmick", but the players seem to be into it. Anything that gets them motivated to play in November is fine with me. The NBA season is a grind, no doubt about it. I live in a NBA city, so I watch the Mavs, but rarely in real time. I usually wait until the game has been on for about an hour and a half. Then start watching, and fast forward every time the clock is stopped and I'll be caught up near the end.

The "bubble" games during the Covid shutdowns were great entertainment. I think it was because they were locked in, so no distractions, and they were playing for pride in front of their peers.

27% shooting on 16 attempts per game is comically bad.

Historically bad. I don’t think he’s 100%. But it looks like more than that. He’s visibly moping when he doesn’t get the ball.

Love seeing Richards play well, hope he continues to carve out a bigger role.

Talk to me about Phoenix the city. How ya like living there? Can retire in May and was looking at Arizona
Weather is super hot June-Sept but after that very nice- never rains, not sure how we haven't run out of water- a lot to do, sports, concerts etc- cost of living has gone up the past few years, use to be a very affordable major city- 4-5 hours to Vegas, San Diego etc

I with you on the fast forwarding. I record a lot of games on NBA League Pass and fast forward through all commercials and halftime and a lot of free throws. It is the only way I can watch a NFL of MLB game. Usually watch the 4th quarter if NFL if game is close. Just click the 30 sec button on remote immediately after a tackle or play stoppage and you're right at the next hike of the ball. Don't have to listen to the talking heads or watch some a$$ in the stands with his shirt off in 20 degree weather. Baseball is boring even with fast forward but I like some of the playoffs. As far as the in season tourney, I do like it gives the players a little more incentive at the top. The bottom feeder games are still going to suck.

It's a stupid gimmick. I thought that the winner would be guaranteed a playoff spot or something originally?? Now it's just the rich getting richer..DUMB
