NBA and UK players

I'm not a big nba follower, but it seems to me that UK has more than it's fair share of excellent guards in the league right now. I know it's the most we've ever had, but I'm curious if there's ever been a time when one school had as many top notch guards in the league at the same time. Fox, Monk, Maxey, IQ, Book, Murray, Herro (is that all of them?) is a fairly deep list. I can't think of any school that can get close to that. Maybe UNC?

Add SGA to that mix as well. For now, UK the only school with 100 players all-time to make it to the league with 127.

Nah. Zona is the only one i can think of but tbh those guys weren’t close to the level the UK guys currently are. They had Bibby, Terry, Arenas and Stoudamire. But by the time Arenas came along Stoudamire was past his prime.

Fox, Murray, SGA, Booker, Herro, Maxey are all at or near 20ppg scorers. Then add in Monk and Quickley who are guys that are 15ppg scorers off the bench and both have several 30+ games under their belts.

I doubt any program has had a collection of guards all in the league at the same time like that. You’re talking about 3 all stars. And 3 other guys right on the cusp. And we’re also only a few years removed from Wall, Bledsoe and Rondo also being in the league.

I just posted this in the playoff thread but if Philly makes it to the conference final, all 4 remaining teams while have a UK representative.

Whether I care or not about the NBA literally has zero to do with caring about UK. For some of us the two are not inextricably tied together. Btw, it’s a dead horse that still needs beating!

Like I said, nothing shows how little you care about "NBA and UK Players" like voluntarily clicking on a thread about UK's players in the NBA so don't misconstrue my post about how much you care about UK. That is irrelevant to the thread. BTW, you're just pissing in the wind bitching about it here like anything is going to change 14 years in. Cal doesn't listen to you or anyone. You think I'm happy about all of the talent coming in here and one title to show for? You're DEAD WRONG!! NBA players or not, Cal isn't winning another one here. The OP asked a question about schools with the most top notch players in the league at one time and I posted a source answering it for reference.
