Louisville Guard Koron Davis leaving team

"I have nothing to say about Koron Davis," Payne said Friday during a news conference. "Koron Davis is not in trouble. I didn't know he was at the game, but if he was, that's fine with me. He's a part of this team right now."

Have they considered just taking a break from basketball for a couple years and working on themselves? If one ex is crazy fine. Two, ok it happens. But nearly a decade of new coaches, ADs, presidents, players, none of it stops the madness. Maybe it isn't the exes, maybe it's you.

i'm not saying either way, but that would a be a MASSIVE blunder by UofL.
Either the kid is a master level troll or someone within the ul admin is losing their job.

I still say ul sold their soul for that year of the cardinal bs. It’s been one disaster after another for them since it.

It's falling apart at UofL. I feel bad for the player and for Payne, not for the Cardinals. The only positive that can result here is that UK puts the nail in the coffin for the team and Payne leaves before he gets canned.
Why? I assume he was a very large payout if they want to get rid of him.

And why assume the fault is Payne's? Or that their admin don't know they've asked him to square a circle? Maybe they're willing to take years to rebuild the program. People on this board will cheer on a falling bridge if it relates to something they don't like. I wouldn't come here for an objective assessment of UL's situation.

Some here are pretty objective. Look on the court, look off the court or anywhere else you like regarding UL basketball and objectively tell us what you see

I think his buyout after this year will be $6 million.

Weird situation. Hasn’t played a minute this year. An hour and a half before Louisville released their statement, Davis posted his grade report on Twitter and was saying how happy he is at Louisville and so happy to have the opportunity. Given the timing, it seems to me he knew something was coming.
