Lottery strategy tomorrow night?

So . . . how do you plan on winning the $1.2B prize tomorrow night? Do you have a preferred purchase location? A set of numbers you play? A time of day to buy? There must be a secret somewhere.

Personally, I subscribe to what I call "The Act of God" theory. You do have to buy a few tickets, because everyone knows "The Lord helps those that help themselves". But beyond that, I think it is a waste of money to buy 10 or 20 or even 100 tickets. Either God wants you to win . . . or not.

But he knows my heart, and well knows that I will use the money to build infrastructure in poor communities that need it, like Jackson Miss. and Martin County Ky, and to cure hunger in the third world, cure cancer everywhere, and so on. 🙏🙏🙏

Have always felt winning the lottery is simply fate. Never buy a ticket until it gets large and only 1 set of numbers at that. If it is meant for me to win then it will happen.

I also look to buy from a gas station or liquor store where folks that look down on their luck tend to congregate, no doubt that is where the bulk of the winning tickets are sold. Have you ever seen a big winner sold in Beverly Hills or Palm Beach, or even from the Kroger Store in Chevy Chase?

I buy tickets when the jackpot gets big. Generally $10 worth of quick picks. I refuse to pick my own numbers, because if those numbers won and I forgot to buy a ticket I would be pissed. The first ticket I ever bought, at the behest of my wife when the jackpot was big, was 1,2,3,4,5,6. She was mad, and said "that will never win". I said "exactly, but it has the same chance of any other set of numbers." I tend to buy tickets more often when I'm travelling and go to some podunk gas station. It seems that more winning tickets come from them than vendors where I live. I've always heard that if you pick your own numbers, pick at least one number larger than 31. Because everyone picks birthdays, that will limit your odds of splitting it if you were to win.

But almost every lottery winner has a story of why they bought said lottery ticket.. and almost all of them were some sort of "sign". Maybe something a family member said or an odd set of numbers that meant something.

I have a friend that buys $100 worth of scratch offs daily. He brags about his winnings. But it is like everyone's friend that goes to a casino. He says he won $1000, but he never tells you when he goes and loses $2000. It is simple math. Unless you win the Powerball or MegaMillions, you will never be ahead. If you have the resources to buy your tickets and want to dream, it is fine, and the money helps Kentucky kids with college tuition. But it really is a tax on the poor and ignorant that use it as a retirement plan. I saw a guy in a gas station this weekend buy $300 worth of MegaMillions tickets and put $7 worth of gas in his car. His car and clothes weren't worth $300. Sad to me.

I buy tickets when the jackpot gets big.

I think more people do buy tickets the bigger the pot. But that is interesting. Because I think for most whether you win 100M or 500M or 1B, you and your family is set for life. And the amount does not change your odds. It protects you from if there are several winners. But has there ever been more than 2 or 3 winners of a large (100M+ jackpot)?
And I say that, but I am probably more likely to but them to with a large jackpot. But not because I would not be equally happy with a 100M one as a 1B one, but because I rarely buy a ticket, so it just doesn't occur to me unless they are telling us over and over how large it has gotten, and then I think yeah why not throw down $2.
