We've got a win over Duke and we're ranked top 10. The only arguments about beating our cupcakes is whether we'll be able to cover the 31.5 point betting line or not, which we did, of course.

Well, while we're all happy and smiling, there are some folks who are miserable. They want to stir the pot and they want to get us all arguing and fighting again. I would implore everyone not to fall for the trolling posts. We've got a bunch of reasons to be positive and happy right now. And on that note...

You can go back several months ago and see my dejected, sarcastic posts on here about the team and the transfer portal. I kept saying, if the players can transfer, so can the fans. Yeah, I was pretty dejected, all around. Not really mad at any one person. And I'm a guy who stuck with the CATS through the 90s while on campus there as a student, watching the Pitino rise. During Cal's first year, my spouse and I ventured to IU to watch Patterson, Wall, Boogie, and the team beat IU there (what an awesome experience). I guess after the loss to Oakland, and over the last few months of Cal's tenure, I felt like the last team I loved was spiraling downward into a slow, agonizing death.

When they announced Pope as coach, it sparked a light in me. When they announced his press conference, I brought my spouse down to check it out totally on a whim. I love Lexington, so we made a day of it. The press conference blew me away. The energy was... amazing. I still wasn't sure if Pope could win, but I was happier. Since then, this coach and team have gone a long, long way to restoring my faith. Not sure how the year will turn out, but I'm having a lot of fun. And I have a lot of faith in the future.

They were just waiting (and hoping) for a rough start to the season so they could say “told you so” . Hasn’t worked out that way.They’re probably miserable. I’m sure they will shower up when we lose our first game .

I dipped out on UK after the NIT season in 13 (I think). Missed a majority of Cals run. Came back two seasons ago. I was pretty upset with Pope hire and didn't love this roster till we got Jaxson. I was very wrong of course. This is the most fun I had warching UK since the 2011 FF team.

We have no idea how this season will go when conference play starts and the post season but you have to love how it's gone so far and Pope's future.

I was just thinking yesterday how that my wife and I always go to the Smokies in early December and it's usually cold at night while we are walking around in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. I have been somewhat embarrassed to wear my Kentucky toboggan because there have been some embarrassing losses by then with the previous coach. Not this year! Kentucky is blowing out the teams they are supposed to and actually exceeding expectations. IT'S FUN TO BE A KENTUCKY FAN AGAIN!!!!

I’m absolutely ecstatic right now. Everyone knows I was very unhappy with the previous coach. It was not healthy but I couldn’t stand the guy. What we’re witnessing so far this season is what I know KY basketball can be.

I’m so excited about our future with Pope. I really believe he is going to do some great things here!!
