Losing to UofL in Rupp would be

I've said it before, so I'll say it again:
If Loserville plays Satan's team, I root for the Devil.

one of the best things to reinvigorate the intrastate rivalry. Since 2013, UK has lost only two games in the series. Whether anyone else is willing to admit it or not, a re-energized and competitive annual showdown is what makes a great rivalry. One-sided affairs don’t.
Everyone is allowed to think stupid things. Saying them out loud is never a great idea though.

Love threads trying to rile up the fan base. Just idiotic. Even if you were a fan, (Which I doubt), this thought process is misguided, ignorant and just looking for reactions.

They have 3 of their best ball handlers out for the season. If we lose to them it would be embarrassing.

Be happy with the football win and move on

You don't live in Louisville do you?
I did. For a long time. Prior to March 1983 I fought like cats and dogs with far too many UofL fans over a rivalry that had yet to be played in my lifetime. Wore my blue UK t-shirts regularly until they fell apart at the seams. That fierce passion between UK and UofL fans back then was really something. Once UK and UofL started playing one another once a season, it was Great in the beginning. Chapman’s dunk in Freedom Hall to this day still makes me say Wow!

But UK has dominated the series to the point the anticipation and excitement is all but missing. I’m among those who want THAT back in the series. I want to see the day of the game get back to being something along the lines of a regional holiday. I want to see the ticket prices to the game to be unreasonably through the ceiling. To me, the UK-UofL game in the beginning was every bit as big as the Kentucky Derby. I suppose reasonable minds can differ. Sort of like how some fans within BBN share CBP’s fear (you can call it whatever you prefer) of playing against Indiana in Bloomington - which to me is just…silly.

There’s only one way that the energy gets put back into the UK-UofL series, and that’s all up to UofL.

Lol, UL lost the energy by not being able to beat UK.

Sad Oh No GIF

Louisville could become good again without ever beating Kentucky. I don't want to ever lose to the red pigeons, no matter how it affects the series.

Screw that stupid shit. I don’t give a shit about the “rivalry”. I want to destroy them every single game in every single sport.

While I understand where the OP is coming from, hey brother, don't let em' beat ya up on this one, but I think the point is ...

Beating the rival unmercifully until they become irrelevant.

And I'd just as soon go ahead and just KEEP ON having the Cats destroy them unmercifully, then see what happens after that. 💪

No worries, Its a good point, but this year, nah.
Maybe in another 15, 20 more seasons of drubbings would do 😉....

Cue - Zipp in 3..... 2.....1....😂

You never want to consider losing to enhance a rivalry. That's silly.
If Lou wants to call it a rivalry, then they should win games. It is that simple.

I grew up in Louisville and my buddies would probably jump me and beat me up if I said such a thing. A few of them are UL fans, too. Stick with one team. You're not a UK fan. You're just a troll wanting a rise out of UK fans. No sane UK fan would ever have a take like yours so beat it.

I think this is the single worst take in the history of message boards. I’ll have to go back through my tapes of the Chris Cross/Drew Deener show to see if any call-in shows have it beat.

Sorry, OP, I will never ever pull for the Cards to be our Cats. What do you think Bama & Auburn fans would say if you ran that idea by them? Rivals are rivals because they just don't like each other and never want to lose to their rival.

That’s crazy as hell

UK is 14-2 over the last 16 match ups. UL could win, and they will win again and when it happens UL fans will claim they are back and have the top program. Reality is, the gap between UK and UL is now larger than the gap between UL and WKU.
