His recent article sure didn’t instill tons of confidence except that we lead for the 25% 3pt shooting forward from SDSU.

Livingston all but gone. Oscar a maybe. Reeves likely back. Looking like 8 scholarship players right now.

TJ Beisner gone from his role — and WORST PART Bruiser Flint might be “elevated” to an Asst Coach again! (Cal just CANT stop hiring his cronies, can he?)

So HERE WE GO AGAIN heading into the season with unproven freshmen and a squad short several players….

Wonderful

I'd gladly trade Livingston for this guy as long as he doesn't shoot many threes. Then we wouldn't have to cater to Livingston shooting threes next year and having a guy like this on defense would be excellent,.

There was a time, in fact, when Livingston’s camp was prepared to pull him out of school in the middle of the season, but he insisted on staying and finishing the season with his team. Thought this line from tuckers article was very interesting also. Klutch or whoever were trying to pull him out of the team mid season. I would be fine if Kentucky never dealed with klutch again. And on Oscar Tucker did say that Oscar did tell the staff he loves Lexington and would like to be back if he doesn’t stay in the draft

If they promote bruiser to assistant, cal deserves to get his ass kicked

This!

Roster has time to be put together and get some good players.

Bruiser Flint has stated the last 2 years he wants out of Lexington. The problem for Bruiser, he's a half assed coach who brings nothing to a program. Not one strength. He's not a genius basketball mind. He's not a recruiter. He's a friend of Cal's who has been and is washed up. He should be kissing Calipari's ass that he actually got him a damn HC interview at Manhattan. The fact he sucks is why nobody wants to hire him and Calipari can't find a soft landing for him.

Calipari doesn't have the standing at this point to make a move this lazy and uninspiring. Most of all it would hurt the program. This isn't a grinder/worker. He doesn't do a damn thing. Quite simply, he doesn't want to be here and he's not wanted to be here by people who care about the program. Give him his wish and let him see how he does on his own. I'd get someone to pack his **** up for him before I'd ever want him around the team, let alone elevated to a job he'd having Kentucky operate as if they were punished and didn't have a full allotment allowed to recruit. This idea is nauseating to anyone who cares about Kentucky basketball.

This will make you more sick, @ralphdaltonfan …. I don’t know if this is Tucker pontificating - or if there’s truth - but he also states Bruiser could slide into the team “GM” role….

This means Cal has leaned NOTHING!

Here’s the quote:

“ It’s not out of the realm of possibility that Bruiser Flint, currently in the non-recruiting “associate to the head coach” role, slides back into one of the three regular assistant spots. That would create another opening for a teaching-only role that could be used to bring in a workout specialist, which the Cats could also use. One other consideration: There’s a decent chance Calipari turns Beisner’s position into the long-coveted “general manager” role and installs someone to oversee all elements of NIL and roster management. That could also be a job for Flint.”

If Cal moves on from those two, it will be to draft night. He is so invested in getting these guys to the league that he recruits over them if they're not gone in a year.

Calipari doesn't have the current standing to piss on the program and do that. Flint needs to be sent packing. He wants out. My issue with the pushback is always "You guys never have...." well everyone on this forum has worked a job with someone who doesn't want to be there. How does that help business? The business won't grow at all and often doesn't even sustain-the remedy? Get rid of people who don't want to be part of what you do. This type of hire would just reinforce that Calipari doesn't want to be coaching and is just doing so to make money to pass down to family when he passes on.

Flint is a debacle. I can't hide the laughter how awkward he was when he was "greeting" Robert Dillingham when he made the visit with Antigua. That was golfer high fiving caddie bad. It also was a perfect representation of how out of place Flint is in a job like Kentucky where you have to carry yourself in a manner that is about everything he's not. Sickening he's being considered for any job since he doesn't want to be here nor does he bring anything to help get this program back where it needs to be.

Flint needs to be in a mid-level administrative role for some perpetual basement dweller NBA team. He could make a decent living in some larger city and get to tell everyone he's part of the ________ organization. He certainly doesn't need to be in any meaningful role for Kentucky Basketball.
Just when you think Calipari can't make any dumber decisions than he already has...along comes something like this. Good grief.

The kid from SDSU would be a great get. Livingston will have to go pro which cost him a lot. Because some writer says something means nothing

I just don’t believe that the University of Kentucky doesn’t have a roster plan in place. It’s just that no one here is privy to those things and negative speculation is rampant.
My gut tells me Livingston is back as is Reeves.
Oscar’s decision will not surprise me either way.

UK will add 2-3 portal players and the roster is set for 2023-2024

Tucker is just guessing. It’s click bait.

It’s not hard to guess CL is gone. I think he stays in the draft too.

I think Oscar stays in the draft.

But I’m guessing. Just like Tucker.

But we will have a full roster. And we will be very good.

No reason to hand wring over that.

I’m afraid he’s guessing right on Reeves too.

But he’s a good player to have on the practice squad if he returns.

I really wonder if TJ Beisner or his wife is Magilla Gorilla

Tell me what makes Livingston so much greater than this guy that happened to play on a national runner up team (and score 14 points in that game). I'd love to hear the nonsense.
Because he played on a national runner up team is irrelevant. They were a fringe top 25 team all year. That's what he played on. A couple of good weekends don't make the season. And he was about their fourth or fifth best player. He's nothing to sneeze at, but he's nothing special. Basically like Livingston was last season. Equal floor, probably a considerably lower ceiling. Idk if Livingston is "so much greater", but given the choice CL is pretty much a no-brainer given the ceiling and the level he played at the second half of the year.

He scored 14 in the final game.

Livingston wants to be anywhere but at UK. He can move on for all I care. Enjoy your weekend.

This dude can pop the occasional three. He won me over $300 back-to-back games in the Final Four for 3P FGs made. His over/under was 0.5!

Chris Livingston was never wearing a UK jersey next year imo and I don’t think Oscar is that different. Reeves should be back and Johnson seems to be tracking here sooner rather than later.

The Bruiser section was awful but I’ll contain my frustration on that until something is official.

I’ll disagree with many others, I would much rather have Johnson than Livingston. Hopefully we add him soon as he makes a ton of sense as a 4 that would be comfortable without 25-30 MPG, much more 15-20.

Both are accurate statements in a completely micro bubble. In a perfect world, I'd love to have them both. But our coach isn't really big on depth or making decisions on who plays based on what they give the team. So there's that.

I have no words for anything you stated above. Good effing grief!!!!

Ive watched several video clips of this guy, and i really like his post-up game; much better than what I saw from CL, and as someone said, " we have really really needed a lockdown defender for years now. Too many prima donnas not wanting to do the dirtywork. I think he would be a better fit than CL to next years team, and totally agree if CL doesnt want to be here, well bon voyage!!

This is speculation for me and everybody’s getting all pissed off because they think bruiser will be the assistant coach or the GM but it’s only Tucker speculation at this point.

Couldn’t agree more, it’s time for cal to stop bringing into his buddies and people who will agree with him, bring In a nba guy who good with a analytics or a guy good with offensive schemes and x’s and 0’s
