Kriisa??

Annnnnd, there it is.

"He's not spoon-feeding buckets to the Kentucky kids! I hate that guy!"

Are you people ever happy with anything??? I've never seen a more miserable fanbase. The game threads are unreadable because of the bitching and moaning. Enjoy the 30 point win, have a bourbon, and chill.

I always thought the preferential treatment of KY born kids was weird. You had some fans here who wanted Cal to land, and play, these lesser recruits, just because they were from Kentucky. I mean, it's cool if you can find the one like Sheppard who is local AND an elite player, but it's rare to find especially in a state that isn't known for churning out top basketball players. But I want my teams to have the best talent, and if that means the kid from my local town doesn't make the team, so be it.

It's a hard to please fanbase, for sure.

Has nothing to do with Kentucky kids. It’s about playing the game the right way. Kriisa has a pattern of using high leverage moments to play “it’s all about me” ball. It happened at Arizona and WVU, which is why none of them were sorry to see him go.

In the context of last nights game, nothing mattered. But it was a continuation of the same selfish, erratic play that plagued him at his other stops.

🙄 Coach Pope loves him, that’s good enough for me.

I call b.s. Otherwise, you wouldn't have specifically mentioned him setting them up for shots. You can't front your position on an issue and then turn around and argue that's not the point.

Up by 30, final minutes, kid's trying to show out for his loved ones who are in town, has the blessing of his teammates and coaches, yet here you are bitching about playing the "right way," which is a subjective measure, btw.

With players like Kriisa, there's always going to be some give and take. And I agree that there are times you don't want to see him chucking contested 3s, but the final minutes of last night's game wasn't it.

You've already implied you wouldn't have had any problem if it were a bench warmer chucking up shots. At least have the intellectual honesty to stick to your initial premise - that you wanted to see Noah and Perry score. It's a poor take, but you're the one that made it, so at least be willing to back it up.

WTF was that in the final 2 minutes, forcing up back-to-back-to-back guarded 3’s as fast as he could.

That is concerning
Let’s chill out about my boy Kerr. He was three points away from 1,000 in his career. His family traveled from Estonia to watch him and he was given the green light to try to get the milestone at home. It didn’t work out but it wasn’t something to be “concerned” about. Sheesh lol

OMG what the hell is wrong with you???

MARK POPE HIMSELF confirmed that THE WHOLE TEAM wanted Kerr to make a three so he could get a thousand points in front of his family.

There are no words for how awful a person you really are. I suggest deleting your account as this self-immolation will haunt you going forward.

If I hear one of the “I wish they’d play them Kentucky boy” types complain about not winning enough or things of the sort, I immediately disregard their opinion from then on. Lack of consistency is a killer if you are passionate about Kentucky basketball imo. If someone is from Boise, ID and they contribute to winning, they are one hundred percent a “Kentucky boy” to me, moreso than someone from Beattyville just because of where they are from. There is a standard here. Frankly, at this moment, Perry and Noah are virtually unplayable — I expect they will develop excellently, if they are willing to be patient and put in the work.

Hope CMP seeks your advice before adding players next year. He’s probably not nearly as thorough as you with evaluations .

When you watch Kerr play and see selfishness, you show you aren’t watching. Kid is giving his final year of college to be a specialized bench player, a pace guy and assist guy. Has he taken a few shots? Yes, he has. He has turned down a ridiculous number of good shots for himself for even better shots for his teammates. Consider me a fan of that kid.
