KAT could come up in trade discussions

Boston has always been my team, but honestly hate Stevens. Hate Jason Scrotum, and their team. Hate'em all. Wish McHale, Bird, Parrish, Johnson all came out of retirement. Eff Ainge, sign Booker.

Just hate the whole org after the greatest team in NBA history, the 1986 Celts. Hate'em all

Don't know why as Boston will.be a force the next six years. No telling who else Ainge will steal. Hey he may package a few picks and a pack of bubble gum for KAT.

Do you like apples?
Boston up 2-0 on Lebron.
How do you like dem apples?

Boston has the most to offer, but I don’t know how much they’d be willing to give up with how good a lot of these young guys look.

Unless the Timberwolves just don’t want him, they can give him the most money. Players very rarely turn down that first extension if the team that drafted them gives them the max offer.

It’s funny, I listened to that podcast and they both said someone would put out a piece exactly like this.

If there are actual problems here to the extent that they're seriously considering trading Towns, then the TWolves as an organization are 100% screwed.

The Thibodeau hire is not looking great right now. He might be a defensive genius, but it's not showing (possibly because of personnel- and Towns, who needs to improve on D, could be part of the problem- and possibly because NBA offenses have changed dramatically in the last decade). He runs his starters into the ground, and it's obvious he only trusts a limited amount of players, leading to a lot of "his guy" thinking (Taj Gibson, Jimmy Butler, Derrick Rose).

The Wiggins extension was short-sighted. He might have all the potential in world, but his actual production is easily replaceable at far less cost.

Towns, OTOH, even if he's not perfect, just put up a 25 PER at 22 years old. He's the type of talent the TWolves might not get a shot at for another decade, even if they fall back and start drafting near the top again. They'd be idiots to trade him. He's the guy they have to build around.

Thibs trying to recreate his Bulls team that never won shit is the problem. He played Kat like he was Joakim Noah. He wanted Kat to Just set screens, rebound, and be a rum protector. Kat is so much more than that and was severely misused.

The fact that his usage rate was less than Butler is not a good thing.

Butler is excellent, but not so great as to justify him being the focus of the offense on a team that has Towns. If the coach can't see that, the coach is the problem.

With The Wolves locking up Wiggins to a max, the odds of KAT ever winning anything in Minnesota are low. He needs to get out while he can if he actually wants to compete for championships

Thibs is hated up here in MN. For those who follow the NBA, you know why. If you only casually follow it and hear of his "greatness", let me fill you in. He's a guy who is a fine assistant coach who is in over his head with how to run a team, specifically utilize a bench, understand how to pace players/team during the regular season and his team's always break down, wear out and are on empty tank when postseason approaches. The #1 culprit of what makes him disliked, is the constant seal like barking he does the entire game. The guy is always yelling, whining, crying...and it's just obnoxious. Fans up here have been really taking aim at his demeanor and give the "Minnesota Nice" version of will he just STFU and let his team play. You can't coach that way over course of a season in any profession. Yellers and Screamers have short windows because the team tunes them out and then when a butt chewing is needed, it has less effect because the guy does it all the time. His record for getting guys injured, failing in the postseason--he's a sub .500 Playoff coach and was entering Minnesota and what FA wants to come play for him--specifically role players when he fails to develop or utilize a bench. His answer in every loss is "We need toughness". No--you need to understand where the ball needs to go (Towns) offensively, play off him, develop a better 3pt shooting team around him, and realize that despite good defense, NBA players are so good they will often make tough, contested shots.

The players, media, and fans can't stand him and yet Glen Taylor has paid him a guaranteed $40 and the biggest warning sign should've been how all current coaches lobbied for him to get that job. Why would a competitor want a great coach to go to a team with cap room, draft picks, and young talent? Now the team is halfway through the young talent, used cap room, and has 2 guys who want out (Wiggins in addition to KAT wants out of here) and Jamal Crawford said he'll never play for Thibs again and opted out.

Oswald Cobblepot aka Thibs needs to go and coach at a Bobby Knight Fantasy Camp.

I grew up a Celtics fan; those years when they and the Lakers battled it out were incredible.

Damn, I'd love to see Kat go to Boston but it won't happen.
