Kansas-Pittsburg State

At least they are not picked to finish 7th in the KCAC behind the Friends University Falcons, Tabor College Bluejays, Southwestern College Moundbuilders, Bethel College Threshers, Kansas Wesleyan Coyotes and the Bethany College Swedes. Impressive!
Someone's bitter. Why don't you go back to your team's board?

You realize Ottawa plays in the NAIA. For reference it goes from toughest to weakest:

1. NCAA Division 1
2. NCAA Division 2 - Pitt State plays here
3. NCAA Division 3
4. NAIA - Ottawa plays here

Not even close to true. NAIA has fewer regulations than NCAA and often gets foreign players who couldn't qualify for NCAA. They also get players who are D1 quality who couldn't qualify. The best NAIA teams are very comparable to the best D2 teams and maybe better.

Wrong. The KCAC, the league that Ottawa plays in, doesn't even have full scholarships.

Albany is going for it's 3rd straight NCAAT appearance. PSU they are not...

I wouldn't take them lightly either. We'll win. But I bet it'll be a lot closer at the half than some think..

I remember the Great Danes from the NCAA Tournament, they are good team.

You sound a bit rattled. Kentucky beat Ottawa by roughly 60 -- hell, that's more than the Cats beat Kansas by last year. Now that's a beating!

I think KU looked even more helpless last year against UK than Ottawa did. At least Norfleet was balling for Ottawa, no one showed up for the Jayhawks that night.
Now hold on, we must be fair here. The officials shortened last years UK/KU game to 40 minutes. If the game was played on Bill's Self's clock they wouldn't have run out of time and probably would have caught us.

Sorry, I had to do it.

Inferiority complex= KU fans! IT'S so freaking funny! HA! LOL THEY WANT TO BE KENTUCKY SO DAMN BAD!

Trust me when i say this. Nothing we say on here will help nor hurt Kentucky in our next game. We as posters can be as cocky as we want to be. We don't play the games. I'm sure Kentucky state will try their best to play tough D, but you know sometimes it doesn't seem that way when you're overmatched. We didn't get a game from Ottawa. Were you actually expecting ottawa to keep it close? They were overmatched at every spot on the floor and it's going to be the same story when we play Kentucky state.
There is three or four kids on K-State from Henry Clay and they are excited to come to Rupp.

That is kind of funny. There was no thread on PHOG yesterday about your game with Ottawa University. Ottawa is 12 miles away from Lawrence. Nobody cared. And, yet on Rupp the number one thread tonight was UK bashing Louisville, like every night but the second thread was the Kansas game vs. Pittsburgh State. I think the obsession is more on UK's part than Kansas.

Yet here you are posting on a UK board.

Phog.net has a thread started on 11/2. 2 pages long.

And why would Kansas bring attention to Kentucky's thrashing of a team (albeit a bad team)? That makes no sense. The only reason we brought up PSU was because at one point, that crap school was making it a game.

We were doing what we were supposed to be doing, handling an inferior opponent.. You're team wasn't.. That's why it was note worthy.

Not necessarily right. The NAIA isn't under NCAA jurisdiction. It plays by it's own rules, and the quality of the teams there varies. Generally, it is weaker than D2, but D3 is debatable. D3 doesn't offer scholarships, while I'm pretty sure many NAIA schools do.

The best man of in my wedding coached at Ottawa University a few years ago. Their top scholarship topped out at about 25% of the total cost of the school year. I understand why your AD wanted to play them and why they wanted to play UK. It was a huge thrill for their kids to play at Rupp. And their Athletic Department walked out with big paycheck. Good for them. And your AD is awarded the Alum of the Year at Ottawa University.

this pittsburg state team most have not have gotten the memo....ku played in korea against amazing talent and seldon is a top 10 player in the country.

seldon 2-9
graham 1-6

Selden always leaves you expecting more, passes the eye test but something is missing. SVI is a great shooter....when not guarded. He will not play in the NBA.

Wow. As if you couldn't be more wrong again. And again. And Again.

NAIA doesn't go by the NCAA rules and therefore end up with some really good players that can't qualify. You need to do more fact checking bub. Personally, I'd rather play NAIA than D2 but definitely D3. I'd even say D3 schools aren't usually what a good NAIA team is.

Kansas fans, LMAO. Enjoy another BIG7 title in that shit league, followed by a round-32 thumping.

Not true.

NAIA is above Division III because they can offer athletic scholarships. I coach at a good Division III program and Georgetown College would massacre us.

NAIA is who we lose most of our top recruits to; even more so than Division II. The scholarship packages are often much better at the NAIA level than they are at any level except D-1a and scholarship D-1aa schools.

Sounds like you need some good asst. coaches at your side. Do you have an email where I can give you my resume? I know it will be difficult to fire your current assts, but I think I can help you get past the Georgetowns of NAIA basketball. Gimme a shot coach. I can do this.

There hasn't been D-1a and D-1aa levels in the NCAA since 2006. I am surprised a D-III coach didn't know that.

This is nowhere near obsession. UK fans take their basketball very seriously, so much so that every now and then, we need some humor to lighten up. KU, and its fans give us this outlet. You are a good example. I guess the old saying could be adapted to, "it is better to be thought a fool, than to go to another team's board and remove all doubt."

Good money move for Slice. Terrible program move.

**So now winning by 23 while shooting like shi! from 3 isn't "handling"? Ok, whatever.

Just look at the WUGs and what Selden did when 100%....or see what he does when he's on a bum ankle like he was last night. The evidence is pretty clear.

He's healthy and he plays really well. He isn't and he doesn't - unfortunately he's more often NOT healthy than he IS healthy.

NAIA is leaps and bounds better than Div III. NAIA is very comparable to Div II.
