I wouldn't be all that surprised if we go into Lawrence and just tattoo them for a fourth straight time.

Not impressed at all. They look like a team that'll win the B-12 then lose to a 14 seed. Somewhere a Bucknell, Bradley, Northern Iowa, VCU, Wichita State or Stanford is five months away from a bracket gift.
it will be interesting to see how the 30 second shot clock treats the mid-majors.

Those who are talking sh*t about Kansas tonight need to hold off because Pitt State is leaps and bounds better than Ottawa. I hope our next EXB opponent plays energetic defense like Pitt State is because Ottawa played such pathetic defense that it made our football team proud LOL
But somehow still win the B12 by 4 games all while being told the B12 is the 2nd toughest conference. Then all 7 B12 teams fail to make the sweet 16.

Don't go there. The BIG12 is overrated every year. KU is the only team worth anything in that league but we're always told it's this great conference. At least the SEC has multiple teams that have won titles in the modern era. Maybe Texas will turn into something now that they have a real coach but I have never been impressed with anyone in that league. There's a reason KU has won the league 20 straight years. It isn't because KU is a juggernaut.
When you guys have multiple teams do something in the Tourney let us know. Or will the rest of them just wait for their Helm's recognition in a couple of decades?
LOL. You're making Pitt State sound like Northern Iowa or Bucknell. 'Energetic Defense' aside, it's a D-ll team. Their last game was a double-digit loss to Moorhead--the one in Minnesota.

What I'm saying is I hope Karma doesn't come back to bite us because we didnt get a game from Ottawa at all. I only hope Kentucky state plays the same defense against us to push us the same way Pitt State did tonight. The same people making fun of Kansas are going to be the same ones Foaming at the mouths if UK is tied with Albany 30-30 at the half...
We know, we know, the B-12 is the best conference that ever existed. Every year they have 6-8 title contenders, we got it.
Too bad, nobody but KU ever does anything, ever. And so the myth lives on, and on, and on..........
If we are tied at the half with Albany, I will impose a ban on myself for a week.
We didn't get a game from Ottawa because they were completely overmatched. They played hard, they just couldn't do anything. That's why people are laughing at Kansas.
The Big 12 is predictable every year. Bunch of teams beat up on one another until enough sportswriters are deluded into thinking it's a conference filled with several FF contenders. The tournament rolls around and its exposed to be just KU and a bunch of round of 32 type teams. Seriously, it's been Since 2005 since a non-KU Big 12 team made the Final Four yet every season it's hyped up like its a top two conference and it was amazing KU somehow won it again.
At some point you just have to look at the combination of KU's streak plus the lack of Big 12 Final Fours and put two and two together.

@ hedging your bets. Just put it out there and be proud. UK would have given Pitt State the same medicine it gave Ottawa. You can play defense until the cows come home, but when your PG just doesn't turn the ball over and you're shooting >50% from 3, it doesn't matter.
Trust me when i say this. Nothing we say on here will help nor hurt Kentucky in our next game. We as posters can be as cocky as we want to be. We don't play the games. I'm sure Kentucky state will try their best to play tough D, but you know sometimes it doesn't seem that way when you're overmatched. We didn't get a game from Ottawa. Were you actually expecting ottawa to keep it close? They were overmatched at every spot on the floor and it's going to be the same story when we play Kentucky state.
You realize Ottawa plays in the NAIA. For reference it goes from toughest to weakest:
1. NCAA Division 1
2. NCAA Division 2 - Pitt State plays here
3. NCAA Division 3
4. NAIA - Ottawa plays here
At least they are not picked to finish 7th in the KCAC behind the Friends University Falcons, Tabor College Bluejays, Southwestern College Moundbuilders, Bethel College Threshers, Kansas Wesleyan Coyotes and the Bethany College Swedes. Impressive!
Albany is going for it's 3rd straight NCAAT appearance. PSU they are not...
I wouldn't take them lightly either. We'll win. But I bet it'll be a lot closer at the half than some think..
