In 2002, the Charlotte Hornets would have relocated to Louisville to become the Kentucky Colonels and the city would not have a downtown arena dangerously on the brink of financial collapse if it not for Pitino and Jurich's back room dealing to block it.
It took nearly 15 years but in the end, cosmic justice won out and those bums are out the door. It's too bad the city is left holding the empty sack and is on the hook financially for their selfishness.
I'd also like the add that the Hornets aka "the almost Kentucky Colonels" are now the New Orleans Pelicans with 4 ex-Kentucky players in Anthony Davis, Rajon Rondo, Darius Miller, and Demarcus Cousins.
