John Higgins has only called one technical in 7 UK games

Which doesn't require technicals. We've had Higgins in 5 NCAA games. Our two wins were Eastern Kentucky and Cornell. 3 losses were Mich. St, Wisconsin and UConn. He's not going to make a difference in games against the Cinderella teams, but against the really good teams, he certainly can. So, again we get him against one of those teams.

The Wisconsin game is the only one I'd say the refs kind of screwed UK. The UConn game had one awful call, but otherwise, UK was asleep for 3/4th's of that game.

Ya, I thought the 5 technicals was incorrect (that sounds like Sirmons, though...uggh!) ....what worries me is that we've not won a post-season game under him in a very long time and the magnitude of those losses. Big, historic games. He has missed a LOT of calls and called some incorrectly when it mattered.

Oscar tweeted that one technical foul was called in ALL the games Higgins reffed, not in EACH of the games Higgins reffed.

He's still a jack ass. And he doesn't care what people think. How someone like this gets a game of this magnitude just shows me that the NCAA planted him there on purpose. There is no other reason to plop him in this game unless they wanted some "excitement".
