Averaged 32.5 points per game against the Lakers in four games. He didn't have a game in that series where he shot less than 45% from the field. On the series, he shot 53% from the field, 41% from three, and 95% from the line.

He also posted 5.3 to 1.8 assist to turnover ration while also grabbing over 6 rebounds per game. Only 7 total turnovers in 4 games.

He will become Calipari's 11th NBA All-Star next year.

It's incredible watching all of Cal's guys come to full bloom the last few years.

It's sad, because Calipari only has one title with all these megastars.

Murray was about to blowup in the bubble a few years back and rhe leg injury pushed him back two years….but he’s full blown all nba superstar. He’ll supplant damion Leonard as next best scoring guard behind Curry from here on out

He’lll finally make the allstar team next year and it’s well deserved. He and Jokic are the best combo in the league.
They should be solid for the next 3-4 years. Jokic is only 28 years old. Murray is only 26 years old. Porter Jr. is 24. Gordon is 27.

Their core is the type that you can win multiple titles with if it all comes together and these guys stay healthy.

isn't it amazing how much shooting helps teams win
guess every coach & fan understands this, except for ccc
he must think you get points for running & jumping

Are you saying that shooters in the NBA can't also "run and jump"?

In my opinion, the superstars (like Murray) are able to shoot, run, and jump. If we had those guys at UK, we win multiple titles easily. Unfortunately, we have guys that can shoot - but not run and jump, or guys that can run and jump - but not shoot. But, this is true for most college teams. Otherwise, those players would be superstars in the NBA.

He had an amazing series. He hit a few shots that you could only shake your head at as the defender . He’s one of the most exciting players to watch when he get in that zone .

Man....didn't realize how young their core is....and the pieces they need (defensive specialist, shooters)...they can grab those kind of guys hunting rings pretty easily.

His 2016 year should have been so much better. That team had one other shooter besides Ulis and Murray in Willis who played less than 20 minutes a game. The rest of the time it was Ulis and Murray playing with non shooters Briscoe, Poythress, Lee, and Skal square pegging it in a round hole in the paint. Consistently playing 3 non shooters will no longer work in modern basketball.

The problem was not that they were a shooter short. The problem was they had no interior game!!!
Skal was not a good interior player.
Poythress was playing at only 80% with recovering knee.
Lee simply was not a basketball player, he was an athlete.

Had Lyles returned to be a top 5 pick, or even Johnson returned to be a 1st round pick, that team could have been special.

Facts, that interior was filled with guys who didn’t develop and should have been backups. One solid interior guy and a solid wing would have made us title contenders. I love Nriscoe but guards who can’t shoot disturb my spirit.
