Tell me again how their coach is WAY better than Stoops. He wouldn’t be much better or about the same!!

Gonna go 11 and 1 and make the playoff.

Yeah, their schedule is dog crap and I'd argue another 2 loss sec team (if one is available and left out) should get the last at large over them but won't happen.

Losing to OSU isn’t quite the same as losing to Vandy, SC, Missouri, a down (temporarily anyway) Florida…

Also CMS is in year 12 with a 3deep of top 25 recruiting classes…Cignetti is in year 1 with a MAC QB and James Madison talent.

I could easily see Georgia, Alabama, or Ole Miss getting the nod over 11-1 Indiana. IU needed to be competitive today.

I think if Stoops were coaching Indiana.... they are no where near a playoff discussion.... Indiana would beat us like a drum if we lined up and played a game next week.

I dont think so. Indiana has been exposed and this will cost them their spot. They played 1 top 25 team and got their buttons handed to them. They shouldn't benefit from playing that pathetic schedule.

Except Florida, who has been dangerous this year, all the others are or have been in top 25.

IU got fat off a historically bad schedule, and then got destroyed by the only good team they faced. That'll be the argument and it'll be a good one.

They will stay in.

May drop them to 10th or 11th seed.

Ole miss gonna do an ole miss thing and choke and lose to Florida perhaps.

There schedule included both teams in the National Championship last season and Ohio State. They lead the nation in margin of victory averaging 30.5 point W’s. People wanting a 2 loss Ole Miss in that lost to Kentucky is laughable.

Michigan and washington suck this season. No one is counting them as quality wins.

Indiana is gonna get in and get their asses kicked by a sec team and I'm gonna love it.

Let them host Alabama, Georgia, or Ole Miss/Tennessee.

There is a legitimate shot that Alabama beats Notre Dame, Tennessee beats IU, and Georgia beats Penn State, all the opening weekend of the playoff, all on the road.

They will be praying for snow in the Midwest that weekend - it’s their best equalizer.

Just shows how weak the playoff field is.

When Boise is getting a bye in year 1 you know the rules need changed asap.
Probably tweaked as CAL would say but it’s good teams like Boise Indiana and the like get there shot. March Madness is great because of the chance for the upsets and Football should be the same.

Ole Miss beat Georgia plus has road win at South Carolina. All of those are better than Indiana’s best win. Of course, Ole Miss may be about to crap it away at Florida anyway.

Last year has zero to do with this year. Both those teams are just bad this year. Margin of victory simply underscores the crap schedule they've played.

Football and basketball are two different animals. One player can almost carry a BB team. Camby at UMASS is a good example. Football is a whole lot harder than one guy carrying the team.

And they are getting ready to take another L to 5-5 Florida.

I don't disagree that IU's schedule has been sub par.... but I will say they have just as much a claim to the playoff as Notre Dame who lost at home to 6-5 Northern Illinois.... and that should carry as much weight as a win at A&M.

Notre Dame at least has several top 25 victories on their resume and will get another today perhaps. I agree they aren't any good either though and will be 1 and done n playoff.

Yes.

Meanwhile, Georgia’a two losses are at Alabama and at Ole Miss (in the rain).

Bama lost @ Vandy. Texas lost @ home to Georgia.

Georgia will get stuck playing in the snow 4 weeks from now while some garbage ACC team will get a bye.

And a garbage mountain west team.

To be fair, both Oregon and osu deserve byes as well. It should be the top 4 teams IMO. I know that makes too much logical sense for the people that make the rules though.

A&M is the only team currently ranked that they have beaten.... not sure if Army will remain ranked if they beat them down... again losing to N Illinois at home pretty much negates that W.

I’m fine with that.

But this year’s committee would find a way to get Penn State a bye, too. 😌
