On his left foot, per tweet from Jon Hale at the Courier-Journal who spotted him inside the Craft Center.

Goodness. Could we have a season without problematic injuries?!

Concerned about both, but Tyler being injured would be a much bigger blow. Let's hope these are just precautions. Has Cal give his presser yet? We should know soon.

according to the Twitter world.

Hopefully it's just pre-cautionary.

Just great... Now my inner anxiety will be screaming at the TV, "Empty the bench and put in the walk-ons," when the Cats have a 25+ point lead with 3 minutes to go.

Every team has some type of injuries. But, we've seemed particularly plagued by the injury bug for the past several seasons... Noel and Poy with season-ending ones... Cauly-Stein being out for the tournament, etc.

Briscoe may not play this weekend.

Cal says Briscoe has a bruised knee and is day-to-day. May or may not go this weekend.

Cal on walking boots: Humphries bruised knee, "day to day." Tyler "fine unless there's something I don't know."
keep both out this weekend if you have to . Albany should be a 30 pt win regardless but NJIT could be somewhat close without those 2 ( 15 pt win ) as NJIT is good .

I'm not a doctor, but how does a walking boot help with a bruised knee? Maybe they're just really, really comfortable?

Believe you have that flipped.

Albany was an NCAA Tournament team last year, lost two games in the second half of the season, and return three of their top four players.

We'll have a little trouble with them, IMO.

It looks like NJIT also returns their top four from a team that went 21-12 and lost in the conference tourney semis.

Probably not a complete blow-out either. But Albany concerns me a bit.

Disagree as I have watched NJIT play 3 times last season as they impressed me when they beat a few decent to good teams . I saw Albany twice and they were decent but not on the talent level of NJIT IMO . But that's just my take . Although even without Briscoe and maybe Humphries we still have 5-6 more pros then either team and should be able to win by double digits though that doesn't mean it won't be close at half.

PS - And I know NJIT lost to Albany last year ...

Yep . Still if you look at who they played vs Albany over the course of the season NJIT IMO was more impressive but really it all comes down to the eye test and NJIT passed it more IMO. But really both are decent teams who have a good chance to make the tourney especially NJIT as almost all the of the early tourney projections have them winning their conference.

Sometimes title teams are just the healthiest.. Duke and GSW are two just from last year alone.

Sit Ulis and Hump. They have collectively 1 year experience... no matter how good they are, there's no reason we can't smash Albany and NJIT without them.

Looking at the tweets it seems that Ulis will be fine. Briscoe would be a minor blow because UK is deep in the backcourt. Humphries would be minor as well as he is behind three other guys in the front court and Willis can give UK some minutes.

UK will need to be healthy when Duke comes around. I do agree that Albany and NJIT are competitive opponents that have a strong chance of making the NCAA tournament. However UK without Briscoe and Humphries should be able to handle them. I think both game will be close for the first half and perhaps into the second but UK should win by 10-20 points.

Not what I wanted...........but I would like to see a lot of 2 guards and Willis and Poy and Skal.

We're doomed. Let's propose the worst-case scenarios and obsess about them over the next few months.

Because that's what we do....

Color me unexcited there, and I doubt he plays "quite a bit" as Cal will just play Ulis, Murray, Matthews and probably Mulder more.

If healthy, I bet you a wooden nickel Hawkins gets more playing time than Mulder until SEC play.
