At 5-7 the last several seasons teams have made bowl games. A win tomorrow and our resume being in the SEC and playing some top flight competition close do we get the nod for one of these hard to fill bowls? Especially with an expanded SEC now?

No. Zero chance. With 5-7 teams, it comes down to how they rank academically, and UK is *way* down the list.
Based on what Brohm inherited, no. Cards fans won't be happy but I don't think he gets a ton of heat.
I believe that we would need to get that 6th win in order to even qualify for the Billy Bob's Auto Parts Bowl. I don't think that winning the UL game will get us there.
Remove the rivalry banner and the loss to Stanford is much worse. Brohm has won 17 games in two years, pretty good by UL standards. Brohm would have to lose two additional years before any real heat would be applied.
Do bowl games even matter anymore? Nobody pays attention to them, best players sit out and the extra practices don’t mean as much because you lose so many guys to the portal. Are you better off skipping a bowl game and getting a head start on portal evals?

It's all about the playoff now, as it should be. That's how every other sport has always determined a champion.

Most other teams are above .500 this year so no I don't think we get anything but a much deserved exit to the dorms and hopefully a Stoops retirement.
