This pretty valid. Fox doesn't have Murray's skill level, particularly shooting (Fox is better than Wall was, and seems to be improving, but his jumper is still a question mark), but he has a level of athletic ability that Murray simply doesn't.
I will put one caveat on this, though- when you combine great ballhandling ability, a high basketball IQ, and great shooting ability, there aren't a whole lot of limitations on what a player can do on the offensive end, even if his pure athleticism isn't in the superstar range. Exhibit A: Steph Curry. Other exhibits: Steve Nash, Larry Bird.

What u people are forgetting is Wall was just as good with his left hand as his right hand. That really helps a PG who is constantly dribbling, driving, jumping like Wall did.

You should check out Malik Monk's mixtapes then (make sure you are in a safe place around 1:18). That guy is ridiculously athletic.
Happy to welcome Monk and Fox...hope they both join the UK wildcat family...
Fox's game reminds me more of derrick rose, probably a little better actually as he can do more than rose coming into college and will definitely end up being one of cals better point guards here...

Murray has the Steph Curry factor....yeah, I said it...you never know when or how he's gonna score but he does and can do it in every way imaginable!
Good post. Ulis and Murray are going to "drive" opponents teams batchit crazy. Murray will most likely have the ball in his hands when we need a basket.
Fox is a really good player, but Murray from what I have seen is another level, you don't find many guards that can score, rebound, defend and has his vision on the court all in one player, if anything I think he is what" "Fox and monk would look like if they where morphed together somehow...
Wait just a minute. Its an awesome mixtape, but Wall's is by far better and probably the best mixtape ever. People are forgetting what a generational talent Wall is. Love Fox and his potential, but he would have to be exceptionally great from day 1 to be just on par with Wall. Wall was freaking dominate from day 1.
Murray is going to be a great one but FOX is going to be even greater. If you can'tsee that I don't know what to tell you.
Ultimately I agree in the long term. Murray's game MIGHT translate better to college than the NBA. I could be wrong though. Just my initial take. I think Fox will be a top 5 point guard in the league but Murray may be a top 5 player in college this year.
I wouldn't say he can REALLY shoot the ball. He shot the 3 last year at 29%. In comparison the Harrison's and Young shot between 31-33% in highschool. However I am pleased to hear Daniels say he is a better shooter than Wall
Good to see when Fox picked us that he is recruiting Monk. Gabriel and Fox together will be electric.
I will not stand for this John Wall slander. Watch the mixtape posted earlier in this thread. That's the best one of all time, and he's the best guard to put on a UK jersey, including Jamal Murray. Murray is going to be fantastic, but slow down and respect the throne until further notice.
Yup Wall "WAS" the best but I do believe Fox might have something to say about that maybe. I love Wall though he was and is awesome. ULLIS will go down as very possibly one of the best as well.
