I remember when teams feared Rupp Arena

No. Teams and highly competitive players really get up for games in Rupp. Players aren't gonna be scared. Rupp is a holy place for basketball and inspires guys. They find that extra gear that average players don't have. Nobody gets excited to walk into places like Ole Miss, or Akron, or Iowa etc. And it's probably the biggest place a lot of guys will ever play in. So, take it as the compliment it is. If we don't like it happening, it's up to the players and coach from keeping another guy from having a career night. They should all know it's coming by now.

I've also said Kentucky needs to turn Rupp into an experience. They need to get kinda nuts, TBH. You force the energy like a Gatsby party. Gets people up and may just keep Jim and Bonnie at home instead of wanting to sit and talk about the grand babies.

Teams feared the Pitino press. and his teams won with defense.
I miss that. A lot. Those teams were so much fun to watch. Those Defenses def won some ball games. I've never understood, that will all the lanky great athletes Cal gets, he won't ever legitimately try to implement it.
