I 100% agree with Calipari....

And the haters ask the same question again, again. Of course the intent is to bait another food fight.

Let’s end this real quick. Show me where he is in violation of his contract

Looks like someone took the bait ! And a fisherman at that ! ….Just messin with you bassman.

Regardless of Calipari’s stupid statement I agree with the premise. Do not schedule mid majors picked at the top of their conference to fill your schedule. Pick a team with some recognition that will inspire your team/fans or pick a cupcake. Give me a Stonehill and then say a Villanova(I know they have disappointed) compared to UNCW and then Penn. Even though the SOS average of the second pairing is better, I and most fans would prefer the former.

We are KENTUCKY. We take all comers. And we should not be afraid to schedule anyone.

Cupcakes are never really a good thing for us:

Don't really inspire us to play well
Cal doesn't utilize them to build depth
They don't help the SOS or ranking

He should skip the interviews because he'll either throw a player under the bus, poke fun at fans or implicate himself.

I certainly agree that it's ridiculous to complain about scheduling UNC-Wilmington. And not trying to deflate your point, but just as an aside, did you see that Appalachian State beat Auburn yesterday?
I did.....makes no difference in our game.

UNC-W....let that sink in

Gracious, the crap I have had to endure since yesterday, since I live in NC.

Yeah, if he’s going to be a jerk, be a jerk for blowing off the post game presser

Except... these games (even w/ the potential L) are better for us (under Cals model) in the long run than playing even a mid-level Colonial team. With Cal we always have to remember that Ls are part of the process in getting to where we want to be in March (the [too often unrealistic and unrealized] trade-off being we lose the all-time wins but compete for championships).
By signing 5* frosh and refusing to recruit transfers over them (or losing transfers that know that they won't play over our 5*s) our model has been set. Rarely we get that guy that sticks around, gets court time, and excels as an upperclassman... and even more rarely we get that truly ascendant freshman talent (a 5* 18 year old kid capable of outplaying 23 year old men).
With a young team, we need games like UNCW. Our development is dependent on our ability to be exposed as early as possible, and then hopefully for those deficiencies to get corrected.

Instead we typically just get kids going to the league... that would have went no matter where they went to college.

Hang in there. I still like your chances for banter opportunities in NC this season vis-a-vis Duke and UNC.

Sometimes I don't think Cal thinks about what he says. That was a dumb comment, maybe a worse loss than Evansville, because this team has more talent than the one that lost to Evansville.
Ding ding ding ding! He's been putting his foot in his mouth since he got here. Remember him making a comment about Pitino leading to Pitino's "I ignore the jealous" press conference in Year One? We lost to West Virginia and he said his players were looking ahead to Duke? Then the following draft being the biggest day in UK history?

Then the "we don't let them watch tape" crap after the Wisconsin loss. Little House on the Prairie. Kentucky's a basketball school.

He has no filter. It's probably why John Chaney had to be held back. We all know someone like this in our lives, probably even our families.

You calling ME "lazy" after YOU wanted me to REPEAT ALL of the things Cal said that caused my anguish is EXTREMELY LAUGHABLE!!! You even ADMITTED to NOT even watching OR reading his Postgame comments!!!

Now once again you are ACCUSING me of the VERY thing YOU are doing!!!

That's why I LAUGH at YOU!!!
What I asked you to explain was knowledge none of us have. You never let that lack of knowledge keep you from going off half cocked though. It's not on me to go substantiate your biased claims. I assure you if the shoe was on the other foot and I actually had something legit to back my claims I would gladly share it. I'm pretty certain you would have as well. You definitively claim he did not have them prepared. I'm not actually making any claim here. I'm just asking how do you know that to be true?

The PROOF is in the RESULTS!!!

The same old TIRED Cal Cliches after ANOTHER embarrassing loss. The EXCUSES are wearing thin and YOU keep wanting MORE, whereas I want results.

I'll give you ONE example from his PC. The "giving up 17 straight line drives" is DIRECTLY on him. With HS All-Americans and highly regarded 5th year SR's, there is NO EXCUSE for him to NOT CHANGE what he is doing to keep that from happening. Refusing to play a Zone defense is on Cal.

There are NUMEROUS more And I referred you to his PC's to get the PROBLEMS directly from him.

YOU are the one that has a "lack of knowledge" OR you are just too stubborn to ADMIT your the ultimate Cal defender.

Just as I assumed a ridiculous presumptive decision for you based on hatred of Cal. A zone helps nothing if you do not play hard enough. When your biggest problem is giving up 3's and offensive rebounds zone makes little sense any way. He obviously did not say anything in his post game to support this claim or you and others would have quickly pointed to it. I have enough sense to not listen to him all that much. If you want to make a point I need some direction because I'll not listen to it all. He is generally too annoying for me.

Has absolutely nothing to do with whether he prepared his team. That is the subject remember. You think we didn't stay in front of any one because Cal neglected to mention it? Zone is not the magic answer to everything some believe it to be. We have played almost no zone for years. You can not actually invoke it as not being prepared for this game.

Especially a team that is shooting lights out and focuses on the 3….it has its place, but we are better off playing man to man the majority of the time.

Once again it is Cal’s choice NOT to even try to play differently on defense when he complains after the fact about his players getting beat off the dribble.

Against my better judgement, I am going to attempt to give you one more example. He also complained about a player not blocking out TWICE.at the end of the game that cost us2 buckets. That player was Reeves, who is a 5th year SR, WHY is Cal’s most veteran player not “blocking out”??? He hat is AGAIN on Cal!!

All of the things Cal complains about, AFTER THE FACT, is on HIM.
