If you can't prepare for two teams in a week. Maybe that's why we don't get out of the 1st weekend of tourney???
Did you ever think you would hear a UK coach say a team like UNC Wilmington was"to good" for us to schedule for a home game. EVETYBODY should think about that a minute. I just cant wait for that Bastard to leave here.
Maybe when cal saw UNCW on the schedule he just assumed the W stood for West and they were playing a Junior college from North Carolina that was on the west side of town.
The media never asks these questions, nothing to see here.

Something that RARELY happened to his predecessors except for Billy G or a couple of times with Joe B in the NCAA Tournament but even Joe B didn’t lose these types of games in Rupp or Memorial!!!

Cal thinks he is really smart doing the same schtick that worked 20 years ago. He thinks these are funny but then the comment bites him in the ass.
His continued poking the fanbase is just unnecessary and creating a very negative environment.
I never really understood the comment that UK head coach was a 10 year position but now I am getting an understanding. Cal is very thin skinned and thinks he is above being questioned by the rubes of Kentucky.
Is this based on something he said or do you just throw things out as if they are fact? First we would have to create a coherent list of what qualifies as adequate preparation. Then we would have to actually know what Cal has or hasn't done preparing for this game. If you have knowledge about this that I do not please do share. Otherwise it is just more lashing out and always thinking the worst. I haven't really listened to Cal's postgame or show much in a good while. I might be as irritated as a lot of you if I followed all that as he does instigate some of this strife.

You're obviously trying to deflect for Cal once again underpreparing his team for an opponent.

How many do we have? If you choose to play the "yeah, but our future pros aren't there yet," I'd contend that Sheppard and Dillingham have outperformed their UNCW opponents over the course of this season. Same for Mitchell, Reeves, and Thiero. So no, that lame excuse won't serve you here (I bet you were unpacking it already, eh?).
If you can't see the difference, and still use your lack of ability to see the difference as a mental landing pad to keep yourself from critiquing our annually overachieving coach, it still doesn't change the reality that you're choosing to ignore.

Sometimes I don't think Cal thinks about what he says. That was a dumb comment, maybe a worse loss than Evansville, because this team has more talent than the one that lost to Evansville.

If I had to guess I think that was Cal's way of giving credit to the coach and players of UNC Wilmington. I think that's all it was.
But he didn't have to phrase it like that. That just sounds dumb. We shouldn't be scared of playing anyone especially a team that's not even in the top 100 on our own home court.
