How do we matchup with Houston?

The earliest Kentucky could play them is probably the third week of March. It's hard to predict three months in advance, but I'd say by then Kentucky will match up with them -- or anybody else -- well: More offensive firepower, more size, similar athleticism. They lost Marcus Sasser and Jarace Walker, who were probably their best players last year. I don't think what they added puts them back on the same level, but I haven't seen them play a full game yet.

Haven’t seen them either but impressed with the way they are winning after losing that star power.

They just lost a key bench player Terrance Arcenaux, to a torn Achilles, out for the season. Anyone who plays us is going to need as much guard depth as possible. I think we match great with them, their tallest player that gets minutes is 6’8. We have the guards and wings to run with them and they aren’t a great shooting team.

Bring it.

The metrics always seem to love Houston, but I’ll believe it when I see it. This UK team is loaded with nothing but upside and I think we will match up well with anyone this season.

Also, look at their schedule, their metrics should be damn good. Top 3 wins are Dayton, Utah, and Xavier. Xavier is 6-6 this season. Utah and Dayton are potential tournament teams. Other than that they’ve played scrubs.

Saw a few minutes of one of their games...forget who they were playing, but that group plays hard. Really get after it on the defensive end. I'm surprised their offensive #'s are as high as they are. None of their players particularly stood out on that side of the ball.

Plus they lost a rotation player for the yr to injury recently.

Houston always has grown-ass men. That's a match-up I would not want to see. Very physical.
No one scares me this season. No one.
We have too many weapons in our arsenal; to go along with size, speed and depth and cohesiveness.

That kick-out pass from Freshman Edwards to Reeves for a three when Edwards was on a fast break and basically at the basket (yet covered) is the essence of this team.
