There are going to be shenanigans here.
The committee will create match-ups that the networks want and will also try to align the rankings in anticipation of juicy second round match-ups, given that those sites are fixed.
Example, if Texas wins the SEC they will not want the Peach Bowl in the quarterfinals. Accordingly, look for the committee to position Georgia or Alabama to play in that game if they win their first playoff game (even if said playoff game is on the road).
If the Peach Bowl ends up being say, Miami v. Indiana, I think this whole thing will be viewed as an abject failure.
What I honestly expect is for the SEC to wreak havoc across the Midwest in week 1 of the playoffs and then bring huge crowds to the quarterfinal sites.

Agreed. Alabama, uga and either ole miss or UT will sweep the first round, all winning on the road (even though I'd argue at least 2 sec teams should be hosting).
Committee has already shown its gonna be lazy and just do rankings based on amount of losses. No other logical reason for ND, Penn state and probably Indiana to be the 6 to 8 seeds.
