Shaka Smart argued something. When he went back to his huddle Higgins followed him in to it brandishing his whistle like he was holding the possibility of a tech over his head. THEN HE GAVE HIM ONE.

I always wondered how these idiots become Collegiate D-1 officials. I'm sure there are those that remember the infamous Paul Galvan back in the '70's and '80's. He was a principal in the Fort Worth ISD and even joked about making bad calls against UK.
OMG, I remember Galvan. I thought he was just bad, not malicious bad like Higgins.
lol the truth always presents itself and people will figure him and his biased officiating out eventually. Didn't see what he did tonight but it sounds like he was allowing the college basketball world to see what kind of ref he really is.
i watched all that as well. Shaka done got "Higgins'd". Dude followed him to his huddle... stalked him... then T'd him up. unreal!

did u guys watch the game? he T’d him up before he followed him to the huddle...he warned him once for being out of the box and he kept doing it and got T’d up.

He was actually the principal of my ex-wife when she was in HS in Fort Worth. Years ago I read an article about him and his officiating days. He took jabs at UK fans and laughed about it.
Don't believe it! We have been told countless times by the people in the know, like Jay Bilious, and Dickie Vee, that there is NO anti UK agenda, nor a pro UNCAA, Duke, or Kans-ass bias. and to suggest otherwise is paranoia and mental instability.
Here is the truth nobody wants to admit. Everyone knows Higgins is not a good ref. He allows his personal bias to affect his officiating. Everyone knows it. If they watched that game between UNC and UK without bias, they know it.
So long as it happened to UK, most won't mind it. If and when it happens to others, that is when it will matter. He will have to show his bias and his incompetence to the detriment of other teams or this will continue.
Best news though, since he's sued UK fans, we don't have to worry about him officiating any of our games this season.
