Higgins not working Final Four

I thought the other game where he spent 5 minutes at the monitor twice would have been why? He totally killed any excitement and momentum for the 2 teams but I can't remember who was playing. I just remember him screwing up the game.

He screws up every game, in some form or fashion.

It says he is not going to ref the final four because he was part of a crew that missed a call in Auburns first round game ... well why the hell did he get to work it last year after he raped us against UNCheat?
Because he was just implementing the perfect anti-UK agenda that some fans actually believe doesn't exist.

I really don't think the NCAA realizes or cares how bad some of these referees are and this is just an aberration. Higgins and to some extent Snow will blatantly favor one team over another routinely and continue to referee games. Their unpunished behavior is a signal to other refs to follow the same path. Might as well include Valentine's clownish behavior.

Some of us noticed last night that he hadn’t worked either the Sweet Sixteen or Elite Eight. That’s a first since 2010. Now we know why. Doug Shows also was part of that crew and didn’t do the S16 or E8 either. Missed, potentially game-changing calls matter.

I think that might have been Auburn/Clemson and the missed call is probably letting the wrong free throw shooter shoot for Auburn.

Good to see that they are scrutinizing these refs more closely. Maybe Higgins was warned after last year’s debacle and the NCAA wanted to avoid further controversy.

It's a Goodman troll article. "Top referee John Higgins". . . .
And Higgins himself uses this, saying his biz name is “not merely a play on words . . . but refers to the fact . . . that (he) has served as a top notch referee for the NCAA . . . .” Hmm. Well, I guess not this year.

Just my opinion, but suspect the NCAA is not happy about Higgins bringing a law suit over basketball.

They always prefer controversy to just go away.

It'll be a good time for him to get back to his roofing day job while it is still windy and icy out on the prairie. Keep your fingers crossed.

He made a mistake that helped a SEC team win. From what I’m hearing, the death penalty was on the table for a while.

As much as that situation (putting the wrong shooter at the foul line) says about Higgins and crew... it says so much more about the lack of integrity @ Auburn. With Pearl, anything goes to gain a perceived advantage!
