I’m waiting on the o/u prop bet on punts. Gonna hammer it if it’s under 31. Probably put it in a parlay with first downs and yardage.

That personal foul for slapping the ball was horrendous.

I’m just enamored with Baker. I hope he proves Cleveland and Carolina wrong.

That was unreal!

Myself and Padre are Raiders fans and, honestly, we deserve it for rooting for a team that is owned by a billionaire with a shit tier bowl cut.

What an embarrassment.
So much for that game in 10 days possibly being somewhat meaningful. Not sure how any franchise can lose home games against Jeff Saturday and Baker Mayfield, but they sure did.

Hyper conservative play calling (likely due to injuries) + mostly conservative QB = Baker Mayfield time?

When I was in 8th grade, about 1995ish, I really wanted a Bengals starter jacket for Xmas. Was on the top of my list, and I would dream about wearing that badass orange striped jacket and making all my buddies green with envy.

My parents, being foreign, had no real concept of what the hell I was talking about, and I woke up Xmas morning to this beauty

My mom, you see, thought I would like this beautiful gold much better, and the apex was half the price of whatever starter was! I still remember kids yelling at me “Saints suck” in the hallway as I had to wear that stupid coat for 3 years.

We live in a world where there was a dick-tongue wildcat Starter jacket.

This is the greatest Starter jacket there ever was and ever will be.

If your dad wasn't so gd busy blowing your uncle while the family was in the house watching It's a Wonderful Life, he could have had enough time to run out to McAlpin's and picked you up one for Christmas. Tough titties, pal.

I received one of these for Christmas back in the late 80's. I kept it up until a few years ago and somehow it got something spilled on it in storage and had a huge stain on it so I think I may have thrown it away. I need to look and see if I still have it although there is no way I could wear the small I wore in high school. 🤣

When I played middle school chess at Sayre, we never got letter jackets. 🥺
Neither of my two older daughters wanted letter jackets. They both played tennis and when I mentioned getting them one they said nobody wears them anymore. My youngest who is in 8th grade and just finished her 2nd year of varsity golf says she wants one but we will see when she gets to high school and sees that nobody else is wearing one.

Browns Starter, the one with BROWNS and not the helmet. Was prob the only one in the state of VA.

Did get a ring from UK. Put like a $50 deposit down at Kennedys for it. They called to come pickup and never asked for balance. Hopefully that 25 yr statute of limitations has expired.

-My Houston Oilers Starter Jacket was unreal. I hated them but the Miami Hurricane's were dope as hell.

-Hit up the hobby shop to get beads for the drawstrings that matched the Starter jacket. Pop/comic in the card shop and CD store. That was a nice little 12 year old Saturday with the boys.

-Service Merchandise. That place was f*cking weird.

-The Rams, with a waived dbag QB that literally joined the team the day before, beat the Raiders. 😭 What a loser Franchise. Please tell me Carr cried in his post game PC.

-Etsy is amazing.

-The stress and timing of my morning is now 100% dependent on a tiny stuffed elf and her silly shenanignas. 🤷‍♂️

-Oh, so Ursch was the loser too cool for a class ring. Because of course he was. K. I bet he was just SLAYING it back in the day. Man you're a douche.

-Are we in the time of year where our basketball team plays like once every 15 or 16 days?

Service Merc did have an odd collection of goods for the time period , but they were actually one of the forerunners of mixed goods and online shopping.

The UNC starters with text were pretty dope, the rams head ones were crap.

-They're making a big deal of this @bringbrohmhome twitter handle and treating the guy like a hero. As of yesterday afternoon he had just a bit over 800 followers. For context, the King of all Kings @notjerrytipton had over 70 THOUSAND followers.

Talk about someone who is sorely missed around these parts... hope his family is doing well.

-One of the greatest innovations in retail in some time is Krogers adding an alphabetical list of items with their respective locations on a placard at the end of each aisle. Sometimes the answer is painfully simple, folks.

-Brohm is going to elevate the talent level at UofL and do so pretty quickly. Not really worried, though. I mean they're going to be a nice little ACC team in 2-3 years, but UK isn't exactly treading water, and the schism between SEC/ACC is just going to exacerbate. Hell, we may not even be playing each other much longer.

But a national Rivals guy was on The Take yesterday and spoke about how everyone not in the SEC/Big Ten is going to be playing with a smaller checking account. Where that will matter is in the coaching staffs, analysts, etc. Basically it's a much more difficult job in the "poorer" conferences and is only going to get harder.

-Was kind of disappointed JEFF didn't take a shot at UK tbh. Guy is kind of a dullard IMO. Not much color there. Never thought Brian was all that interesting either.

-One of the more enjoyable parts of the Stoops era has been seeing him get more comfortable in his skin and show his personality a bit. I don't know him, per se, but I feel like I do know him if that makes sense.

-It's remarkable to me that their head basketball and football coaches are both stars from the 80's/90's. Where else has that happened? It's either profound provincialism or things are so bad you had to leverage the COME HOME plea to your sons. Guessing 50/50.

-This weather is appealing to me. I can't have it ALL the time, but yea, some grey skies, cool damp air... good for my northern European soul. Excellent Joshua Tree weather tbh.

-Tell you what, the Presbyterians do music right. I've assembled a nice playlist on Spotify from the season thus far. DM if interested. Ecce Novum is fantastic.

-Greatest Xmas present of all time was a Goalrilla goal in the backyard. Probably around 1995? Instant game changer... always had something to do, with 4 brothers there was usually a game to jump in on, the dunking... man, it was awesome.

We're on a bit of a sloping lot but I am already daydreaming of the day I put one in for the kids. Going to require some grading, but yea, it's something I *must* do.

-I follow some young Atlanta mother of two/influencer (@darbyfallonclark) on insta sort of like one might read tabloids or watch silly drama shows. She's very pretty and has reasonably good taste (not by mine, but by acceptable standards), however that's not why I follow. I am genuinely interested in the levels of pretentiousness and how it translates to marketing in today's world. Just find it fascinating. Also, I realize what must take place behind the scenes for these pristine images of her and her family to be made and deep down I kind of respect it. That's not easy.

Her husband, a young turk who is clearly successful in Atlanta enterprise, somehow seems to not be losing his shit over the whole mess, but then again I bet she's making a pretty good income doing it and keeps a pretty clean household. Anyway, it's all too much sometimes, but I have these little guilty pleasures with social media as I assume we all do.

But their relationship validates my longstanding theory on marriages. A spouse must provide 2 of 3 fundamental things for it to work longterm.

1. Income
2. Well-kempt household/Food
3. Sex

I know she's got 2 of them down, so he's probably fine with it all. But it takes 2 unless one is so extraordinarily great it compensates for the absence of the others. Like, if your wife makes $500K per year, yea, the house is going to be a shithole and you'll get laid every so often, but you're good. $50K without the other 2? I don't think so...

The world is ending sex life with a complete smokeshow with nothing else to offer? We know that works. See it all the time.

An immaculate house and great cook, but no income and no spice at all? That's where it may get a little dangerous... However, the man would have to shoulder some blame because this scenario doesn't happen over night. I mean you see this one coming during courtship.

-Jeff Brohm's best (senior) season at UofL: 2,626 yards, 20 TDs, 9 INTs

-2022 Graham Mertz: 2,136 yards, 19 TDs, 10 INTs

-Sorry for the ramblings. I have to drive down to Nashville for a company Xmas party and don't feel like working this morning. The lady from our company who put it together said attire is "your Holiday best, but nothing too fancy!"

Whatever in the F that means. I guess I'm hoping my Holiday Best isn't too fancy, or else I'm going to feel pretty awkward.

-Let's retire the word "fancy." Start there.

-Christ, give me strength.
