You know Mitch is furious about fans enjoying the baseball unis. I wouldn't expect them to be around much longer tbh.
- The last thing Cal needs is to hire former Kentucky players who haven't yet demonstrated the ability to scout, coach, recruit, or develop players and make them actual assistants rather than support staff. We already see how hard of a time he has changing up the staff when it's NOT made up of guys who Kentucky fans have a natural affinity for.

- I know Nate Oats is the basketball golden child right now in terms of coaching prospects, but it's hard not to appreciate what Chris Holtmann is doing right now. Dude has juggled injuries and a brutal conference, and is still 16-4. And they're putting up something like 80 ppg since Christmas. Most importantly, at least a few CBB writers have used the phrase "whole is greater than the parts" when describing his teams, so obviously he knows how to get the most out of his guys. Need to see him at least break through to the Elite Eight, but it's easy to see why so many people appreciate him as a tactician and developer of talent. He's one of two good things to ever come out of Jessamine County. The other is U.S. 27!!! lolz
- New microwave purchased over the weekend. It's the little things, guys. Not sure what really distinguishes a $250 version (which is what we went with) vs. a $650 version, but they're out there. What in the world could there be more for a microwave to do that would warrant that cost? As long as it has a popcorn button, I'm good.
- When did Rotel dip become America's go-to? Can't imagine a more boring "big event" app. At least throw some chorizo in there or SOMETHIN'.

Loved DA as a player, but I’m not interested in hiring anyone that hasn’t already proven to be (1) a great recruiter and (2) an excellent offensive mind. We are Kentucky. A lot of people (in charge) forget that.

I think the struggle of the blue bloods is directly related to the way games in college ball are called. The stupid charge/block shit takes away athletic advantages typically held by the blue bloods. IMO, that is an intentional result of the NCAA's bastardized rules.
I’m sure we’d look into the biggest names out there but Holtmann is certainly the most logical as far as resume and willingness to accept.

Zags, Nova, Baylor, Virginia, Michigan, Illinois, OSU aren't exactly irrelevant teams. 3 of the last 4 titles came from that group. The change in CBB is so obvious but the old guard doesn't want to admit it. You can't just over talent it, experience matters.

The DA thing ain't gonna happen unless it does, and it's a very hollow attempt from Cal to appease BJW, but it will help our program. Nothing will save it unless DA is a key part in getting Cal back in the business of recruiting. Maybe he could be. Most importantly, it gives BJW a pacifier.
If you bring on DA, you get Reed Sheppard, I'll be content with our annual tournament losses to coaches named Bruce for a few more years.

The thing with Mashburned is I read his posts like he’s playing a character. The Catpaw character he has created is so outlandish that even his takes have a sense of merit to them in this anomaly of a season. Although, I’m not really sure what he’s striving for with his latest DA takes.

I'm 100% for firing Barbee and Justus immediately, so I'm not sure what your point is with me. The goal is not to replace shit assistants with past Kentucky guys with little to no coaching experience. The goal is to create a great staff, and it seems you are saying the greatest program in the history of college basketball cannot find a better assistant coach than DA to replace the empty suits we have now.
If Rod Strickland got ushered out for DUI, DA may have some higher ups at UK pretty nervous. I love the dude as a player but...yeah, that's not a great hire. Whether or not the Ricky Kelly connection is legit or not, that info is out there.
