-Game wasn't great. Halftime show was dope though. Crowded stands, streakers, people celebrating in the streets(NYT is pissed about this). Just a little bit at a time getting back to normal.

-Finally switched over to WSJ, that rag is expensive af.

-A+ weekend: Fishing with 80 at Hatchery Creek, Ruby's with the gang that night, Saturday early workout with JtB, Sat night bourbon tasting game watch gathering, Sunday small SB crowd. Good for the soul.

-Lolz, "There have been more players like E.J. Montgomery, who went undrafted after averaging 4.8 points and 4.6 rebounds for his two-year career at UK. And why wouldn't he? He scored 4.8 points a game. He now is playing in Lithuania for Nevezis Optibet and averaging 2.3 points and 4.0 rebounds." Decourcey making a bunch of excuses for FW and K. https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nca...2020-21-season-ncaa/tvjhm32m2pkg19wsggt5g5zo1

-We lose 7 from this team. Jackson, Boston, Clarke(already gone), Sarr, Mintz, Allen, Fletcher. The beat rolls on.

-That OF 150, man. Good lord. Had to pour a little nip again last night just to make sure. It's WAY up there.

-80 rolls in with a 1950s Old Fitz. 🤣 🤪

-6 of next 10 days are forecasted for snow, should be below freezing tomorrow night until... 🥶 Trash ass month. 20 days.... come on March.

-Nevezis Optibet. JFC. 🤣

The GOAT.

In all seriousness, I watched the snow game against the Raiders on his way to his first Super Bowl in my dorm lobby in college. Now I'm 40, I have two kids, and I'm sitting here watching him win another. He's the GOAT and there's no discussion. There's no metric by which he's not. What a legend.
Everybody posts this picture and are all like “can you believe this guy is the greatest football player every?!?!” meanwhile the reals are over here all like “can you believe this guy married Giselle Bundchen after having a kid with Bridget Moynihan?!?!”

-6' 7" wr transferring in from Sparty. Nice lil Monday morning surprise...see cricket post above.

-another match clinching win Saturday evening...im mainly doing tennis for fitness/stay busy as kids age. But competing at sports again is dope.

-super bowl chili was good as always, the mrs. made ham sliders that were off the chain or whatevs. King cake.

-warms my heart to see the brady haters weep/gnash teeth.

CAN SOMEONE SEND MATT A MESSAGE ON TEH TEXT MACHINE AND TELL HIM TO STFU ABOUT BASKETBALL GDIT NOBODY CARES.

Get Freddie on the line, and talk about this world class football team for 2 hours, then do it again tomorrow. If you get tired of football, talk about who has the best fast food burger. Or Oat Milk. Did anybody know you can milk an oat? You can. Ok, now back to Will Levis and Tre'Von Morgan. What does this mean for our team? Who is our QB going to be? Omg the possibilities are riveting.

~Excellent game. Shared MVP with Bowles and TB12. They dissected KC up, down, and sideways. Talk about peaking at the right time of the year.

~Halftime show was garbage....again. It is no longer about music, but rather who can we put out there to garner more non-football viewers. More power to the dude, however....if you and your marketing team can pull off this ploy and reap the reward$, then more power to you.....but you suck.

~Kershaw, Buehler, Bauer, Price.....LOL.

~Props to the Iowa Gov.

Those missing KC OT had nothing to do with the fact Leonard Fournette decided to be the goddamned beast he should’ve always been in the league. Dude showed up & KC secondary wanted no part of him catching passes and seeing him out on the edge.

Also: you look up and the Bucs had Brady, Evans, Fournette, TJ, Gronk, Brate, Godwin, AB... uh that’s AllPro and All-Timers on one side of the ball with a SIMPLE scheme that you can’t stop.

Fournette was huge. It helps to get out in front with a big lead to ride a guy like that. Add that to the legacy of Brady falling ass-backwards into good fortune. This was an All-Pro guy CUT by the Jacksonville F. Jaguars. LOL

Fair or not, there was always the notion that Brady benefited from the “system” in New England. Montana had the same even in spite of his accolades.

This clearly erases any question. At 43 freaking years old. Unreal.

System arguments have always been funny IMO. It always gets applied to passers but nobody ever brings it up for runners. You know who was a system player? Jim Brown. The system was, "We're giving this badass the ball 30x. Deal with it."

Why were the people running around wearing a jock strap on their head?

Oat Milk is easily the best tasting/texture of the alternative nut/whatever choices -- all day in my Iced Triple Latte.

-Beavis & Butthead were automatic winners, but was dope AF seeing the Bud Light "yes I am" guy again -- dude looks exactly the same as he did 20+ years ago, or whenever that was...easily their best ad campaign imo.

* It was great sitting around with wildcat friends enjoying a basketball game for a change. Sad that with a ten point lead with 10 minutes to go, every person knew that was going to evaporate with a quickness.

At home up double digits at half used to turn into an easy 'W', but as one snark rightly pointed out, Vegas is onto the Cats act or reads GYERO because the 2nd half line didn't budge and favored the Vols throughout.

* As I've always said, if you want to sell cars, go with Will Ferrell, not Bruce Springsteen.

* 735's trainer is no joke, can tell why he's made strides from Pants Armstrong to some muscle definition. And the setup is a nice throwback old school 'no-frills' gym with nothing but free weights, sleds, and a healthy mix of 90's rap/rock. Also refreshing seeing the female members hitting it as hard if not harder than the men, rather than staring into their phones while casually walking.

* Geese can tell a story. Dr. X cannot.

* So the Weeknd paid $7 million out of his own pocket to put on meh performance or are they just saying that to create a buzz and his record company picked up the tab?

Have read articles saying a lot of big name bands (Metallica, AC/DC, Pearl Jam) pass on the show because they don't want to pay a boatload to the NFL and to be told how to play their songs.

*sigh* Guess we'll be getting more pseudo pop stars for the foreseeable future.

* Speaking of, my 24 year old assistant was all excited for the halftime performance and rattling off her favorite weeknd songs, hoping he'd play a few. I asked her if she saw Prince's halftime performance and she said no. Followed up with asking if she had ever listened to Prince - > Nope.

Another dose of reality that we're getting old o_O

Prince wasn't on Spotify and such til 2017ish if I remember right. He was a holdout against streaming with Tool, Garth, etc. tbh, as a 32 year old...most of what I knew about Prince was from Dave Chappelle and some solid covers of his songs. When he passed I looked into his work more, including watching the halftime show, but prior to streaming, I just didn't really have access to him and so very little incentive to dig into his catalog.

I think Tool was a licensing issue, but for artists like Garth and Prince who have just said "nah, I'm good" to streaming in the modern era...I question why. There's a huge chunk of listeners who have no shot to hear your work in the late 2000-teens and 2020s if you don't get with the times and allow streaming. (Garth obviously isn't hurting, but it's still odd to me.)

Should've been there, I guess.
Great nose, but it had started to oxidize. No off or bad flavors, but not a lot of flavor at all. I had opened it up previously like a stupid not realizing it would do that. First time I tasted, it was the best bourbon I'd ever had (sipped it right after a Stitzel Weller Pappy 20yr for reference).

Prince wasn't on Spotify because he had ideaological issues with sharing his music. He was really adamant about it. When I saw him in concert they confiscated cell phones if they saw you recording or even taking photos, and they had guys whose job it was to point them out. He never wanted his music on streaming services. He was a weird dude overall, but it wasn't a business decision for him. He had a monster war with his recording label in the 80s and was really into having control over his music (Hence Paisley Park, which contained not just a recording studio, but two concert stages where he performed for friends and whatever random people found out about his impromptu concerts.)

As far as getting his music to 2000s generation and younger, I don't think it even occurred to Prince. He did all sorts of things that would be considered bizarre from a business standpoint. One of his last albums was basically a contemporary Christian album.

- Was not a fan of OF150, any of those batches.

- Made the money I lost on UK all back(and then some) on Tampa, even hit the 2nd half +8 as well, just an onslaught of drunken bets for the first time to pay off, that never happens!

- I guess at some point I convinced my wife that a new tv in our room meant we needed a new 75” in the living room. I must be a slick talking drunk.

- Most drunken weekend I’ve had in over a year, easily. Got to work today not remembering a damn thing that needed to be done.........per the 200 calls/text I had a lot to do.

- 6’7 Wide Receivers, WTF ever coach just get me to August.

- If you ain’t dreaming big, you ain’t living right. I don’t pray for blessings, but if I get this system from Vendome that they just quoted me I will be building a living quarters at my own damn distillery(thinking something like SOA style) and just shack up rarely to be seen again.

I mean, it’s a beaut Clark!

As places are starting to open, we are looking at potential vacation destinations. As of this moment, it's between Hawaii and an all inclusive Jamaican vacation.

I see Hawaii is opening to the point where we could have a good time at pretty good rates.

What Island?
Hotel?
Places to go?

TIA.

I really enjoy listening to Freddie Maggard talk football. He is easy to understand and helps me learn.

His ability to judge future talent is pretty damn good too.

-Super Bowl was meh.

-Halftime show was who? Never heard of the guy.

-I would have taken a $10,000 to 50 cent bet that Kansas City would have scored a TD in the SB.

-Brooks Koepka FTW!!

-Is today the best day of the next ten to try out my new irons? FML

-WandaVision is a trip.

We were going to Hawaii this summer but there's just way too much uncertainty to bank on a vacation working out there any time soon. Each island has their own requirements and we didn't want to risk something not working out while justifying a trip that far.
