Wow, just wow. I can only say "I told you so" to Wolfpack fans. They are our allies to an extent but they really thought they landed a great coach. He did this same crap at Bama. Got good talent but he just can't coach. He seems to be a good guy but man he's going to lose tgat fanbase quickly. Bama fans could care less about cbb but NC State fans are a lot more passionate about cbb.

Gottfried has no business being a head coach at a Power 5 school. Perhaps he should go down to a mid major where landing one high quality recruit could mean the difference between sucking and conference champions.

Gottfried got a lot of mileage at first at NC State from his time on TV (ESPN?..don't recall). So a lot of young kids were probably impressed when he came to recruit them. Now that it's about the coaching and W's and L's it'll be harder and harder for him on the recruiting trail.

Well they lost to Wofford to start the season last year and did OK. He's perfect for State though. Beats UNC or Duke often enough to keep fans off his back and has already been to more Sweet Sixteens than Herb Sendek in his decade there.
