This is why it’s such a colossal waste of money to keep stoops…
Why spend on oline
Why spend on qb
Whey spend on rb
Heck we even bought a TE that had like 2 receptions
Just lose all 12 games and save your money for stoops buyout….this is silly to lose your present and future to allow Stoops to delay the inevitable
I like Stoops, always have. I draw a different conclusion from all of this though. I think it's more likely, at least in my opinion, that whoever the coach is over the next five years, UK is getting closer and closer to not being able to afford a competitive football team.Stoops defenders if there are any left sure will be real quiet on this one
I don't think there are any at this point. I was a staunch supporter until this year when it became painfully obvious he stopped giving a crap. There was no coming back after the A&M fiasco.Stoops defenders if there are any left sure will be real quiet on this one
A crap season with ZERO leadership from the head guy will do that to a program.I like Stoops, always have. I draw a different conclusion from all of this though. That for sure doesn't help. My point is, there are schools out there that are raising the bar out of the reach of schools like UK. When schools are budgeting $20 million a year for their roster, UK and many others can't compete with that.A crap season with ZERO leadership from the head guy will do that to a program.
Any truth to this is Barnhart being late to the NIL party with all programs. It has become the convenient excuse of underperforming coaches though. The last couple of seasons UK now finds itself with the 6-7 biggest SEC budget and have seen other programs with less money in NIL perform better. With the way the new profit sharing model will operate the admin decisions with the money will matter more too. We've got to stop blaming 'our lot in life' as the reason. We aren't going to have Texas or Florida's financial model but we have enough to be right where we were before NIL began. Mediocre with occasional seasons above. The thing that matters the most is that we can't hide behind a soft version of an SEC schedule anymore so poor coaching and decision making has and will become more glaring.I like Stoops, always have. If we can't it's by our own doing. Even by adding texas and oklahoma we have 9 SEC schools behind us in budget size. That for sure doesn't help. I think and have thought for a while that Stoops isn't the best fit for the Nil era of football. His approach through his whole tenor has been to evaluate high school talent better than his peers, coach that talent up, have a good to really good veteran team that exceeds expectations. That particular model is going to be hard to execute in the new era of football.Any truth to this is Barnhart being late to the NIL party with all programs. Absolutely schools are investing more in NIL. However our NIL has been a train wreck between Barney's late start and Stoops attn to his liquor and babe business. I think we can be competitive with better leadership. That for sure doesn't help. My point is, there are schools out there that raising bar out of the reach of schools like UK. this!Reeks of tampering ....

FK...
Our entire offense is being terraformed for this OC. I think it's a mistake to do it. In fact I think it's fkng stupid.
It's too late to fix this now, given the losses AND going the wrong direction with the offense. I don't think we'll even make a bowl game next season as things stand. He fkd himself hiring this OC and he's made it worse by throwing all his chips behind him now.
He isn't going to be here after next season, unless he pulls a rabbit out. What a cluster
They exist and will show up here eventually to tell everyone how stupid they are and how Stops is the best UK can possibly do. At this point I have to think that most of them are actually troll fans of other teams.Stoops defenders if there are any left sure will be real quiet on this one
There’s no way to understand the direction when the coach doesn’t.I'm at a loss to understand/explain what our 'direction' on offense is. I never understood what we were doing this past year with personnel rotations, play calling, scheme, etc. I've watched a lot of football over 50 years and, for much of this past season, I could see no reason nor logical thread to what we were doing on offense. None.
Losing high potential playmakers like Gilmore and Anderson tells me they didn't understand what the heck we were trying to do, either. Throw in even equal NIL dollars and it's no surprise that these two and others bolted. While I'm not a huge fan of our defensive scheme, I can at least recognize what we're doing and attempting to do. Cannot say the same about our offense.
Doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results is the definition of insanity.
With the amount of tv revenue no reason not to have moneyI like Stoops, always have. I draw a different conclusion from all of this though. I think it's more likely, at least in my opinion, that whoever the coach is over the next five years, UK is getting closer and closer to not being able to afford a competitive football team.
Some of you really did have hope heading into next season. It’s over. The football program is being tanked. Taking kids from Kent State, lol - losing every decent player we had, without a single portal upgrade while trotting out Mark freakin Stoops to coach them, again.
Mitch Barnhart is not an SEC football AD and he’s killed our football program with his despicable contract with Mark freaking Stoops. 2018 is gone and so far behind it may as well have never happened. We are a MAC team in the SEC now.
We are on probation!
Kentucky is the worst program in the SEC now, worse than Vanderbilt.
Yes it is, what are you talking aboutNo it’s not.
I wish I could double like this post. This is all on Mitch. He is not cut out for the SEC when it comes to football.
Hey Mitch, get off your ass and get us a coach that knowes how to win and handle the NIL era. Also, start a fund raising campaign and promote NIL. It wouldn't take mega donors to be competitive in NIL. If 2 million UK fans gave just $10.00 it would bring in 20 million.
