I appreciate and respect what Coach K did for our Team USA basketball as well. I do have a problem with him getting an advisor role created for him to give him access to all these recruits, a couple of years to build a relationship.

Wait so Cal visited the kid yesterday right? And now he's announcing tomorrow? So wouldn't that be good news for us? And is he even going to be able to play next year?
I didn't want him anyway there's no such thing as a great basketball player named Harry, plus his walk is too slow. In cal we trust 40-0!
You are nuts if you expect Giles to come back the same player as he was before. Thats 2 ACL injuries in 2 years. It also shows he's injury prone and will he be willing to go all out with his athleticism after now having 2 painful injuries? The question is.... how good is Giles at 80-85%?

I like how people like Jones take every possible side of an issue so that they can later claim they were right. It really is like those old yearly psychic prediction columns where they would make 500 or so predictions for the new year then be right on 1 or 2 then blow their bugles from the top of the mountains about how great they were.

Would you spend a top 3 pick on a kid in Giles' condition? I have news for you, NBA GM's learned from guys like Greg Oden. Giles looks to be injury prone, these guys aren't going to waste a top pick on a guy that may never play.
Best thing for HG to do is rehab that knee and get back on the court and hope to God both knees hold up to at least a half a season of college ball.

Giles has about a 2-2.5% of reinjuring either ACL.
I'd say there's a overwhelmingly good chance of him never facing this injury ever again.
I never knew that. If that's true, and coming from you I don't doubt it is, that's great news for Giles.
Thanks for the compliment, amigo. Here's a good article from when Robbie Hummel tore the same ACL twice. It's a rare occurrence, but it can happen. Also of important note, these injuries take 2 1/2 to 3 years to fully heal. Giles is in for some massive rehab, although he should be able to play by his freshman year at Duke.

His previous ACL tear was treated at the same hospital, so he has a history there. With that said, yes it will be Duke almost assuredly.

Tough break for the kid, 2 season ending injuries in High School. I'd almost be too nervous to enjoy his talent just hoping he stays healthy enough for the draft now, cringe on a hard fall etc.
