Yep, about 10 minutes ago.
Well that makes Allen's official all the more important then.

He's still wrong. Giles was never coming here.Matt Jones now only thinks we have a 10-20% chance compared to 40% he's had for a couple of weeks now after talking to folks around the program last night.
Free jewelry for everyone!!No you would not. We would have one of our most talented teams ever next year if Giles picks duke as expected
Sounds like giles tore his aclThe only thing that announcement indicates to me is that he is not going to Wake Forest. He is wise to not announce in Winston if he is shunning his hometown school. I don't think you can read anything else into it at this point.
Sounds like giles tore his acl
again?Just coming here to post this. Doesn't specify ACL, but tweet I saw said "season-ending right knee injury..."
again?
I hope not for the kid but if so I bet Cal honors his scholly offer and I support it. (not that it matters what I do.).again?
"Slice in time", "Wrong on purpose", or "Saving the program"?
Haha. I will not speak on the ethics of that guy but I totally remember that.Wrong on purpose actually happened. I personally watched (as did hundreds more) as Marc set the bait and jones took it hook, line, and sinker. I know people like laughing about it, but if anyone cares about the truth, it happened.

What really sucks is in addition to that monster class they are probably getting, they are unlikely to lose much off this year's team (Plumlee who has rarely played, Jefferson who is a good player but not as good as what they will have replacing him, and probably Ingram). The last one is the only one that is significant.
Hey, if he doesn't choose UK I won't begrudge him the choice of Duke. I want him here but it's not like he's making a poor decision. Either choice will be good for his career.
The kid may never play college ball. He may just be smarter to rehab and sit out next season and enter the draft. Another injury could cost millions. As is, once he gets a clean bill of health, he can still go upper end of lottery.
I'm not sure I'd prefer Giles over Allen after this latest injury. He may not be ready by next season and if he is, we don't know if he'll be as good as he was. I can't imagine two major knee injuries not hampering his explosiveness and athleticism. I do hope he recovers and plays in the NBA, but I just don't see him as the same prospect as before.
