We all know Cal is a terrible coach, but he was even more terrible than usual at the end of the game.
They actually had a decent play design for Frederick but Collins was so weak and wiffed on the screen to rub him loose

All that BS and Terrible play and we lost because of FT’s, again. How about that last shot, nobody was prepared for Oscar to get the miss and be ready for another shot. Just terrible team IQ and recognition. Oscar should have went back up and made it a 1 point game or maybe even got fouled.
Cal gets a lot of criticism offensively, but asking bigger and slower guys to guard 28 feet from the basket kills him defensively. There is a dang shot clock to keep team's from stalling the ball. Why put guys in position to get beat off the dribble in order to insist they play defense like you want? If they are not capable of it, it's not going to work.
Well they fought a little bit better in the second half. Unfortunately still wasn’t enough to beat a previously sub-.500 South Carolina squad.🙁
