"Our class rankings are constantly updated with the latest commits, which prospects each team is targeting, how a class compares to others in its conference and much, much more, so keep checking back to get all the latest rankings, news and analysis."

They forgot to add, "except in the case of Jamal Murray and Issac Humphries, in that case we will entirely disregard the players commitments in the formulation of the class recruiting rankings."

I know it doesn't matter, but it is just insane and almost unbelievable ESPN disregarded those commitments and failed to move UK into the number one spot for class rankings. There is no other possible argument I can accept other then Duke favoritism. There is no chance in heck they wouldn't have moved Duke above us if the situation was flipped. Just more evidence of a well establish fact that ESPN is a biased joke company.

Both Murray and Humphries are foreign players and both reclassified over the summer to join this year's class. There's a reason they were not included.
Yes but that doesn't explain what he was saying . He is correct in that if both players went to Duke ESPN would of rushed to change the rankings and include them . It is flat out horse crap . UK has the best class this year ( 2015) and it is the best by a mile .

How does them being foreign players change anything? Are foreign players not, "commits." Will Issac and Jamal be in any different of a situation compared to any other freshman basketball player? ESPN stated, "our class ranking are constantly updated with the latest commits." That doesn't fall in line with what played out. And its even more bizarre given Jamal would have been a top 10 guy. And it wouldn't have taken much effort at all. ESPN failing to rank international players is asinine and lazy.

Agreed my friend! Hope this is a better week for you and family. GBB

Some recruiting services count foreign players, and some don't. Some count 5th year HS players, while others don't. Some end their rankings after the spring signing period, while others don't. Some include JuCo transfers, and some don't. What difference does it make? We're not gonna hang any banners for having a "Number 1 Recruiting Class according to ESPN".

I really think way too much is made of recruiting rankings. Can't we just be happy that our incoming group is really, really good? And I couldn't care less if some putz at ESPN ranks 'em 1st, 21st, or dead last.

Why do SO many give a crap what ESPN ranks them? Who cares?

If you do care about such rankings, ESPN has proved a thousand times they are awful at recruiting insight/news. Go to 247 Sports, Scout, or Rivals if you want real insight/rankings.

ESPN actually did rank Humphries, he was number 49 and #9 center. Rivals did not rank Humphries, but did rank Murray.

This

It's all decided on the basketball court.

Whether ESPN considers foreign players and late additions to a roster is their decision to make. However unless they accurately reflect realty then they should quit pretending that their rankings are relevant and stop touting them.
