So I thought it would be interesting to see were you guys stand now after our first handful or so of games. Has your loss total stayed the same or changed?

Based off our first handful of games how many total losses will we have this year?

Three to Five losses seems about right for this group. The way they fight every possession, I just can’t see more than five. Really loving Kentucky Basketball again feels unbelievable and I’m just so happy for all of our fans. I have lived and died with every shot since I was probably five or six years old, (49 now), and this just feels like Kentucky Basketball more so than the last 10 years. The SEC is a beast again but I really like this team. Let’s go!!

I expect close to the same record as I had initially went with, but would venture to say it is likely closer to the six than the nine. I am confident our team will be difficult to beat in Rupp, but I’m not as certain we will be an elite road team yet due to the reliance in shooting. I think our defense will help us win road games and we are showing great resilience thus far.

I think 5-7 losses going into SEC-T.
But I think that will be good enough to have us as a top 2-3 SEC team and a 2-seed.

I don't know why fans get off on predicting losses. So many posts here are along the lines of "while I expect the team to implode and lose 102% of its remaining games, it's been a hell of a year and Poach Cope deserves a second chance"

I don’t know why fans get off on telling other fans what types of conversations are acceptable lol

I think it’s impossible to predict and I honestly don’t want to try
Just now getting back to enjoying Kentucky basketball..not going to cast any shadow over that with predictions

I had them with three losses before the season and I’m sticking with it. I thought their ceiling was the Sweet Sixteen. Now I say sky’s the limit. They’ve got all of the pieces necessary to win it all. I also see no reason they couldn’t run the table other than it’s just unlikely but even that… why not? What are they missing?

How is this a negative post?

I am simply asking if your predicted loss record is better than it was before the season started?

I had us with more than 23 wins this season (including post season) and I'm sticking with that. However, I'd probably say more than 25 wins today.

But if I wasn’t balls to the wall I’d be in the 3–5 loss bracket. I’ve always been bullish on this team’s chances despite the looming gauntlet of the SEC. I understood most people’s reservations more so before and less so now. We aren’t playing like a team that would or even could lose nine out of twenty games to the best the SEC could throw at us right now.

And by the time we actually face those teams our advantage will be greater. The offensive packages Pope used at BYU and has talked about keeping plus the new wrinkles he’s talked about wanting to add here are complicated and we just haven’t learned them yet. We aren’t even attempting most of them yet. By the time we get to February…..

I’ll put it this way….

THE MASERATI IS LEAVING THE GARAGE

I voted 6-9 losses but I was figuring closer to 6 and one of them at some point in the big tournament and maybe one in the SEC tournament at some point. I think UK has a shot at one of the #1 seeds.
