I have the DVD somewhere but haven't gotten around to watching it. I do like underdog stories and don't mind being the ultimate bad guy, but I've heard it's a rather typical, formulaic Disney movie.

Basketball - Hoosiers

Baseball - The Natural

Boxing - Raging Bull

Golf - Caddyshack

Hockey - I don't recall having ever seen a movie about hockey

Running - Prefontaine

Horse Racing - Seabiscuit

Bowling - Kingpin

Baseball, Football, and especially Boxing, have many great movies. The other sports, not so much.
