We have to play @Alabama and @SC the next two Saturdays. Things will get interesting, although I think we win both.Originally posted by yabbadabbadoo:
They'll be saying this for 2 more weeks, because Virginia plays absolutely no one (so look out they could lose). Then, they have to play Duke, UNC, and UL over an 8 day span. Don't think they will survive that stretch. Then we'll get our votes back.

Does it matter that we are not unanimous? Who cares. It's January.
Sigh...such an enabler.....Originally posted by ukbob:
Well I am going to agree with Vandal. ( he'll be thrilled to hear that)
I'll go one step further and say Virginia would have beat us the last 2 games.
But when the paint dries, we will still be #1 at the end.

The flaw with your logic is that UK would not have played that way against UVA.Originally posted by ukbob:

I can't wait to see the media's reaction if/when we start putting things back together and start beating teams, like they were Kansas, again. That will be enjoyable to watch and read. The media and other teams are under the false impression that we are imploding and it's just a matter of time before the wheels come off. Once we put some beat downs on some teams again their fear and our swagger will be back in full force.Originally posted by ukbob:
Maybe so #8. But my point is that had we played this say against them we probably lose at least one. It's all subjective anyway and there is no way to prove either's point.
Overall, we are still better. Just not playing like it right now, IMO.

That's just not true. If I were a voter, I would vote the team as number one the team that I feel is the best. If I felt it was Kentucky one week and Virginia the next, I'd switch it, even if neither had lost. Wins/Losses don't matter as much as looking good/resume when basically splitting hairs among a couple of undefeated teams.Originally posted by Bluest Member:
ESPN is full of biased haters
Kentucky started out #1 and hasn't lost, thus ,any other reasoning is either biased hate or pure stupidity
You'll never see a negative headline about Duke or UNC on ESPN
Until just a few hours ago, there was a Duke losing headline. Also, the bolded is terribly illogical, and that type of attitude makes people look down on the fan base.Originally posted by Bluest Member:

Please tell us who should be ranked ahead of Kentucky?Originally posted by Vandalayindustries:
I couldn't care less. We don't really deserve to be unanimous #1 after this past week. It's pretty easy to justify another team being ranked ahead of us. Plus, it's early January - a loss may even do us some good.
Your right Don, just win and I don't care by how many either.Originally posted by wildcatdonf:
I say don't worry about it and just win, baby.
