Not necessarily UK related but EKU coach Edwin Thompson took the Georgetown University job on Monday. My son is a freshman pitcher for EKU. I am really hoping the pitching coach Shaun Cole gets the job. His resume is deserving and he is the one that recruited my son . But it does say former UK assistant Roland Fanning is a candidate.

Georgetown should be a premier program in the Big East but hasn't been for years.

Fanning was a scapegoat at UK. Recruited well but Mingione wanted to go another direction......

Sounds like it might be former Miss. State head coach Andy Cannizaro. Cannizaro was fired from Miss. State after just over one year after it was discovered that he was having an affair with a member of the university's football staff. He went 40-27 that year and went to an NCAA Super Regional. He started as the head coach the following year and went 0-3 before resigning. Former UK head coach Gary Henderson then took the reins in Starkville and led the Bulldogs to the CWS.
