Do celebrities public political statements influence you?

I loved James Woods as the voice of Hades in Disney's Hercules, so I registered as a Republican.

I’m not sure what to think about why we continue to see a rise in every celebrity from actors to singing artists to restaurant owners feeling the need to publically announce their politics. Some in such a mean spirited manner. Is their opinion so much more valuable or informed than ours? I can’t watch the Emmys or any award shows without cringing at the self importance exhibited by the participants. Jesus just say thanks to the fans and move on.
YES,... If you've got candidate A running against candidate B. And I don't care who wins. In other words I've got so little interest in this race that i'm not even going to vote in this race. And then if the wrong person say some rotten, lying liberal like Hillary Clinton, Elizabeth "Pocahontas" Warren, or a Cory "The Gropper" Booker comes out and endorses candidate A. Then i'm voting for candidate B. But other than that. No celebrity has any influence on me when it comes to voting.

You know what they say about opinions.

They have a right to say what they want just like we all do, but what rubs me the wrong way is when the set themselves up to be some sort of authority on an issue simply because of their celebrity status when in reality most of the time they are clueless.

Being famous does not make you smarter.

No, except Dave Chappelle. He is extremely thoughtful and every time I watch one of his new specials I find myself thinking about situations in ways I've never thought before. Like his bit on why he was uncomfortable with transgenders.

Before going to the voting booth, I need to know what pampered, out of touch, self indulgent actors who have no idea how much gas or a gallon of milk costs, think.

Anyone who bases their voting off of that should never be allowed in any election ever.

Dems been pushing talking points to celebrities bc they know they're too damn dumb to question them.

Celebrities arent any more educated on anything than any normal person, if anything they are just out if touch with how real ppl live and think anything disguised with feelings is effective bc they dont have to worry about anything. That's all dem policy is..shit policy disguised as feelings and big hearts that ignores real life effectiveness and unintended consequences.
I can't be the only one who sees the irony in believing this with a reality TV star Republican literally being the president.

You didn't refute the point did you...also where did I say I was a trump supporter. I'm libertarian. Its okay...I know you blindly agree with everything your party tells you..you cant stray from the groupthink of the party of hysteria. If you can..criticize something obama did. It's weird you always ask libs this and they cant do it. Which also..isnt it funny how all the celebs including the Clintons were friends with trump before he stole from the groupthink? Ironic indeed.

But I bet since Jim Carrey told bill maher we need to try socialism you're all in on it...
